📍 Cancún → Tulum → Coba → Chichén Itzá Duration: Full Day ­ Morning: Departure from Cancún on a shared tour heading south to visit Tulum, a spectacular Mayan city built on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Learn about its strategic importance within the ancient Mayan trade network connecting Central America. ­ Afternoon: Continue inland to Coba, once the largest Mayan city in the Yucatán Peninsula and an important commercial center linked by an extensive network of ancient roads. After exploring the site, travel onward to Chichén Itzá, where you will check in for overnight accommodation. In the evening, you may choose to attend the optional Sound & Light Show. ­ Tips: Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring sun protection, and stay hydrated throughout the day. Explore its most impressive structures, including the Pyramid of Kukulcán (El Castillo), the Great Ball Court, the Observatory, and the Sacred Cenote, discovering the advanced knowledge and beliefs of the ancient Maya civilization. ­ Afternoon: Continue the journey west toward Uxmal, located in the Puuc region. Upon arrival, check in and enjoy free time to relax. Explore architectural masterpieces such as the Pyramid of the Magician and the Governor’s Palace, admired for their precision, symmetry, and decorative stonework dedicated to Itzamná, god of wisdom and medicine. ­ Afternoon: Continue to Kabah, a fascinating archaeological site known for its richly decorated façades and the repeated images of Chaac, the Mayan rain god. Walk through this ceremonial city and learn about the importance of rain and agriculture in Mayan culture. Day 4
📍 Mérida → Izamal → Cancún Duration: Full Day ­ Morning: After breakfast at the hotel, start the day exploring Mérida, known as the “White City,” founded in 1542 on the site of the ancient Mayan city of T’ho. Discover its colonial architecture, colorful streets, and vibrant local culture. ­ Afternoon: Continue to Izamal, a picturesque colonial town where time seems to have stood still. Visit its historic convent, which boasts the second largest atrium in the world after St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. After the visit, continue by shared transport back to Cancún, where the tour services conclude. ­ Tips: Wear comfortable shoes for walking in colonial towns and bring water.
