You feel like an adventure, want to feel maximum sense of freedom, are a friend of nature and love to explore new places, cultures and life from new angles? Just get out of your everyday life and reconnect with yourself. Meet new like-minded people, travel with them and create memories for life together. Let's have a good time and just do it - because later, you certainly won't be talking about the days you stayed home instead of going traveling. 🦋🌞🪐 I have two wonderful and eventful weeks planned where we will explore one of the most beautiful corners of Thailand with a focus on fun and ease. In the rest of my post I would like to bring you a little closer to this heart trip and tell you a little about me as well as my ideas. ❤️🔥 Okay, who am I anyway ? Most people call me Sofire, but my real name is Sophia. I am 25 years old and come from the north of Germany. Traveling has always been the greatest thing in life for me and I enjoy it to the fullest, spending every free second in new places to get to know and understand the world we live in and especially myself better. I am a super open person and have a big heart for all living beings on this earth. Connecting with people and learning from everything and everyone around me is something I love very much. I have been living vegan for more than two years now and enjoy the culinary diversity of plant-based cuisine while traveling. Pad Thai Tofu, Massaman Curry and of course Mango Sticky Rice are my absolute favorite vegan dishes in Thailand. Since early 2021, I've now been everywhere and nowhere with my backpack, most of that time in Southeast Asia. This continent has captured my heart and I just can't get enough. It is double happiness to travel together with more hearts, because thus you can share the passion for discovering new places. I love to observe the world around me as closely as possible and can always take great pleasure in the smallest little things. I love sharing this enthusiasm with others, which is why it would be an immense pleasure to go exploring with you for a while. 🇹🇭 To Thailand: There are a lot of good reasons why I left my heart in Thailand. In the first place are for me the sugary sweet and warm people with their wonderful fascinating culture and loving mentality. But furthermore there is - the delicious food - beautiful architecture - the indescribable diversity of nature - festivals and parties - the great traditional market culture - all the possibilities for activities - general sense of community - the absolute best and most effective massages in the world and soooo much more that makes this country so wonderful. The mixture of old traditional culture and the ultra-modern zeitgeist goes together quite naturally, which has an absolutely positive effect on the attitude towards life. I can understand why many people from all over the world regularly visit the country to take time out from everyday life, especially on the beautiful beaches. But what if I told you that not only the south of the country is paradise on earth, but the north of Thailand is breathtakingly beautiful and absolutely underrated? I've been told so many times, "Make sure you plan more time for the north, you'll regret it if you don't," "Trust me, you'll love it so much!" What can I say. I ended up taking way too little time for this way too beautiful part of the country to spend more time by the sea. If I can say one thing, it's that the northern part of Thailand is more than worth its own trip and you should pack enough time to enjoy it! 🚞🦋🚣🏽🐝🏞🛵🌄🐛🪨🌻 🗺 What is the planning, who organizes everything and where is it actually going exactly? I invite you to just sit out the organization and worry only about packing your bag and booking your flights. (Of course I will help you if you want!). I would love to show you the world through my eyes for these two weeks and you can just enjoy. This means: I will take care of our different accommodations, means of transportation from arrival in Chiang Mai (shuttle and scooter), as well as ideas and planning of activities and excursions. ✨ What I really want you to know first: EVERYTHING IS A CAN AND NOTHING IS A MUST! For me, the top priority is: fun, joy as well as ease when traveling. -> This often does not work with time pressure or stress! Accordingly, I would say, we have a route and plans in mind, but then let the days come to us according to feeling. Many things work better here spontaneously, in which you book at short notice. Some things, however, I will organize in advance, such as our accommodations, the shuttle a big day trip to Chiang Rai and the train ticket to Bangkok (more on this below). Everyone should feel good and free, enjoy the time and ultimately get the best possible for themselves out of these two weeks, without any pressure or bad feelings. 🌞 After a few months in Thailand, I can definitely say: The north is one of my favorite places in the country! The city of Chiang Mai and the enchanted little Pai are fabulous and very different from the rest of the country. Chiang Mai is not a typical Asian city, which you would expect. Everything is built into the expanse instead of the height and nature sprouts up everywhere, making the city eerily green. The houses are full of street art and there is a young, hip vibe in the air. Everything is neat and full of attention to detail. The great jazz scene of Northern Thai is very well known and there are many cool bars where music is made or danced. Vintage markets, many hip restaurants/cafes, streetfoot stalls and classic night markets are spread all over the city and there is something to do and see everywhere. The whole city is a pure photo backdrop and you would love to stop everywhere to capture the special charm and aesthetics of everything around you. Around the city ring mountains rise up and everything is surrounded by forests and a river, where there is a lot to explore. Pai is probably by far the sweetest little place I've ever seen. The little enchanted spot reminds me of the scenery in "The Hobbit" or "The Lord of the Rings". I don't even know where to start and stop! This enchanted little "hippie" region in the mountains of Thailand, lets you down and invites you to enjoy. Surrounded by endless nature, there are so many things to see and discover. Waterfalls, hot springs, breathtaking viewpoints, hiking trails and wonderful scooter trails through the beautiful countryside, rivers, rice paddies etc. give you the opportunity to do many activities outside while relaxing your soul. Inside the village everything is very quiet. People (whether tourist or local) sit together in the streets, make music, dance outside, sell homemade food and have a good time together. I think that's what Pai is all about - having a good time and enjoying life! Nothing else radiates from the people there. Everyone is laughing and contributing their positive energy to the enchanted atmosphere of the place. I was really in this place for way too short a time and I have to think back to it almost every day. I promise you, you will love it! Under "Stops" I have summarized all my ideas for the days together. So if you want to know more details about each day, just keep scrolling down. 🏠 Accommodations: Even though we will "only" move three times, I want to show you different types of accommodations during our time. From a small idyllic bungalow by the river, a house of our own on the outskirts of the city, to a city apartment in the center, we will use the different options and live together. In advance, it may be important to know that the accommodations vary with single/double/ and bunk beds. If you prefer to have your own privacy, please let me know in advance and I will do my best to arrange something else. However, this is only possible for an additional fee and requires a change of the current accommodation. - Chiang Mai: A large family apartment for 6 people, I booked for our first days in Chiang Mai. The complex has a pool and a roof terrace from which you can see the mountains. The apartment is in a modern style and has good wifi if you need to work from there. We will stay in this apartment until our trip to Pai, as everything within the town is easily accessible by scooter and our central location means we can do all the activities from there. The journey from the airport is not long, this is in fact very close to the heart of the city. - Pai: Pai means idyll and nature. That's why I booked us here in a small guesthouse complex for the nights by the river in the heart of Pai. We will be able to enjoy our free breakfast there in the morning overlooking the river. The entire time in Pai we stay in the same accommodation, because the point of view is super central and we can reach everything by scooter or partly on foot. There is also an Alan connection here. - Chiang Mai: For the last days in Chiang Mai we will stay in a house on the outskirts of the city, from where we will start our trip to Chiang Rai, which is a bit far away and where we can spend the last hours together. Alan is also available in this house. 💰 Cost: Costs included in the price: - Shuttle Airport to accommodation - Shuttle Chiang Mai to Pai - Scooter 3 days Chiang Mai - Scooter 5 days Pai - Accommodation - Day trip to Chiang Rai - Train ticket back to Bangkok - Breathwork Course 💰🚫 Costs not included in the price: - Flights - Food and drinks - Refueling of the scooters - Possible upcoming costs for entrance fees (temples, waterfalls, etc.) - Extra costs for other expenses 📸 I love to capture moments and also own a drone, which we will use for beautiful shots. After the trip I will send you photo/ and video material for free of course. I know we will have an unforgettable time and you will leave the north full of enthusiasm (or not even want to go haha). If you plan to travel further south afterwards, I can give you some tips to plan your next trip. Let me know ! 💌 If I have aroused your interest and you want to have an unforgettable time, then it would be an honor to travel together with you! Send me a message and we can arrange a video call. Come as you are and let's have the best time ever together. Lots of love and hope to see you very soon. Yours Sofire

Chiang Mai

Day 1-5
For Chiang Mai we should plan 7 days. However, we will divide these 7 days a bit and will stay a few days each at the beginning and before departure. 1- The first day we will start very relaxed and you will arrive first. Surely you will be exhausted from the journey. Accordingly, we can just go out for a quiet meal and spend the evening comfortably. The next days will probably be very eventful! 2- We can spend the second day strolling around the city. Let's first arrive, get to know each other and get a feel for the place we are in. There is so much to see and discover while walking through the streets, alleys, parks and along the waterfront of the old city wall. There are little temples sticking out of the ground everywhere and besides the endless food stalls, there is a lot of street art and other things to discover. I want to show you the traditional shopping street, bustling market halls and China Town, which is super impressive and very different from Bangkok. Chiang Mai just has its own relaxed vibe, you could walk for hours through the beautiful city and it would never get boring. 3- On the third day we will head out for our first trip and spend our day climbing a waterfall. The Sticky waterfall is supposed to be beautiful and so is the surrounding nature. (If you have water shoes, feel free to bring them! It's not a must though). Probably we will be pretty exhausted afterwards and can let the evening end quietly with a meal together, depending on our mood. Depending on when we will be back, there are some places in Chiang Mai to enjoy the sunset, for example with a coconut and live music at the river. 4- On the fourth day, we can take a scooter about 20 min away from the city ring road, to the famous temple "Doi Suthep". Just the ride there is beautiful and you have an incredible view over the city. The ancient temple complex is very impressive. You will be amazed, believe me! On the way back, we pass one of the coolest vintage markets, which I have visited so far. For cheap prices, there are some real treasures to be found here. Afterwards, we could eat at a typical night market and just enjoy the special market atmosphere on site. There is always so much going on and there are endless goodies to try. People in Chiang Mai love jazz music and so you will find many artsy cafes as well as some jazz bars. If we feel like it, we can also end the evening there before heading to Pai the next day. 5- After breakfast we leave for the bus station. From there our minivan will take us to Pai. To get to the valley in the mountains, which is about 3.5 hours away, you have to take a pretty exciting ride. It will be fun, I promise!

Pai

Day 5-11
Arrived on site, we move into our accommodation and take care of picking up the scooters. Everything is close to each other, so all this should not take much time. From now on it is easier to decide everything intuitively. I have many ideas for Pai, which we could implement. But since it's such an enchanted place where you don't plan much firmly and let everything come to you, I wouldn't like to presuppose a schedule. Let's just decide together what we feel like doing every day and then design our days accordingly. Here you go with the flow, because that's how the best things emerge here! There are many cute little bars and cafes, hidden in back entrances between ornate little houses, in the greenery or just live music on the streets. People love to get together outside and just walking around you can see smiling hearts having a good time everywhere. We can try our way through the famous street with all the cute little streetfoot stalls (vegan and vegetarian dishes without end), watch the sunset and rise from wonderful viewpoints and rocks, explore waterfalls, float along the river on big air cushion rings for several hours while working on our Tan and so much more. If you want to do yoga, I can recommend a great little studio there! Also, I would love to introduce you to Breathwork in one day. I don't know if you have heard of it, but the discovery of this meditative breathing technique was of great importance to me, especially in Pai. It would be a pleasure for me to bring you a little bit closer to this for me special tool of connection to oneself. If you are interested, I would be happy to tell you more about it. Pai is a place where you need several days to really get down, but at the same time want to enjoy adventure and action. Many young people come and stay here because they are just so enchanted. Surrounded by all the nature and good vibes in the air, you will definitely take it to your heart as well!!!

Chiang Mai

Day 11-14
11- On the eleventh day, after breakfast, we will leave by van to Chiang Mai, where we will move into our accommodation for the last days. We could end the evening with dinner together, whether in one of the many beautiful markets, in a restaurant, at home cooking ourselves or in a snack bar - we have many options. 12- The twelfth day is our last full day in Chiang Mai. Let's do everything we didn't get done at the beginning or still want to do. I would love to show you the university grounds in the evening. There is a big lake there where many people gather in the evening to enjoy the sunset. The atmosphere is so special and if you feel like it, we can have a picnic together while the sky turns the most beautiful colors.
4

Mueang Chiang Rai

Day 14
13- On the thirteenth day a last trip is planned and we will go to the famous temple "Wat Rong Khun". Surely you have already seen pictures of the fascinating temple somewhere on the Internet. Wat Rong Khun is probably one of the most famous in all of Thailand and is located in the city of Chiang Rai. The way there leads us through beautiful nature. Many people come to the north especially on scooters or motorcycles for this particular route because there is so much to see. We have a driver who picks us up and brings us back in the evening.
5

Bangkok

Day 14-15
14- For the return trip to Bangkok on the last day of our trip, I thought of something special. There is the possibility to drive with a sleeper train through the country and drive between mountains, over bridges, through the jungle and forests, which you do not get to see otherwise. The beds are comfortable and in general the ride is supposed to be very pleasant and exciting. Many acquaintances have recommended me more than once to take the train and I would love to share the experience with you. We will arrive in Bangkok early in the morning on December 02 and there we will part ways. If you plan to travel further through Thailand after that, I'd be happy to help you with recommendations and tips! Just let me know <3
