Details about this trip
✨ Lantern-Lit Streets, Misty Karsts, and the Quiet Beauty of Vietnam in Bloom ✨ This 14-night curated adventure through Northern and Central Vietnam is designed for travelers who want to experience the country's most breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and extraordinary cuisine without sacrificing comfort or missing the moments that matter most. From the soulful streets of Hanoi to the limestone karsts of Ninh Binh, the imperial heritage of Hue, and the ancient lantern-lit alleys of Hoi An, this journey weaves together bucket-list destinations, authentic cultural immersions, and thoughtfully selected accommodations. You'll glide through emerald rivers on traditional rowboats, ride an overnight train through misty mountains, drive over the legendary Hai Van Pass, witness a magical festival on the Thu Bon River, learn the secrets of Vietnamese coffee and tea, and explore a tiny island village rarely visited by tourists. 🎐 Combine Your Adventures 🎐 Continuing on to Southern Vietnam? This trip ends in Hanoi on a Saturday morning, and our 8-night Southern Vietnam adventure begins later that same day in Ho Chi Minh City. If you'd like to experience both regions seamlessly, you can join me on the flight south (own expense, booked together) and continue your Vietnam journey into the Mekong Delta and beyond. It's the ultimate way to experience the country from north to south. Please let me know at the time of booking if you'd like to bundle both trips. ✨ Why Vietnam in Mid-February ✨ Mid-February is one of the loveliest, most underrated times to visit Northern and Central Vietnam. The cool dry season is in full swing, the humidity is low, and the country is in a particularly beautiful state: still glowing from Tet (Vietnamese Lunar New Year) celebrations. This trip is intentionally timed to begin just after the Tet holiday week, so shops, markets, and restaurants are open again and life has returned to its everyday rhythm; but Tet decorations, flower displays, kumquat trees, and red lanterns are still adorning the cities. It's a quietly magical window to experience Vietnam: festive, fresh, and far less crowded than peak tourist months. In the north, expect cool, comfortable weather perfect for exploring Hanoi's Old Quarter and gliding through Ninh Binh's emerald rice paddies and limestone caves. In Central Vietnam, Hue and Hoi An enjoy mild, dry conditions ideal for wandering ancient streets, sitting riverside, and attending the magical Full Moon Lantern Festival under clear, star-filled skies. The trip also begins the day before Valentine's Day; a beautiful alternative for solo travelers who'd love to spend the day immersed in something extraordinary rather than at home. Whether you're traveling alone, with a friend, or simply chasing a meaningful experience, this is the perfect season to be in Vietnam.

Noi Bai International Airport

Day 15
Day 14 — Friday: Final Morning & Onwards Morning — Enjoy the hotel's wonderful breakfast one last time. Departure timing: I'll be heading to the airport in the late morning to fly to Ho Chi Minh City for the start of my Southern Vietnam trip. Guests continuing on to that trip are welcome to join my taxi to the airport. For guests departing Vietnam, I'd suggest booking flights departing late morning or early afternoon to allow for a relaxed final morning and transit to the airport. Transportation to the airport on departure day is included if joining me in the same taxi, but if you need to arrive at another time I can help you arrange it at your expense. The trip concludes with the perfect option to either continue south with my 8-night Southern Vietnam adventure, or fly home with a heart full of memories.
