Hey, if you still haven't read my profile, I am Bader a global travel who have recently finished visiting every country in the world (3x been to Colombia) and always will come back to Latin America every year! I traveled solo and in groups, budget and luxury, adventure based and slow based - all while meeting other travelers during events and at hostels and other group tours. While I am new here, I appreciate your support with my JoinMyTrip itinerary. We will have fun and leave with memories to share back home!

All the accommodations included in this package are 3 star hotels/boutique stays based on SINGLE room options. If you are two wanting to share a room contact me for a reduced price. There is also available options to downgrade to shared hostel rooms, boutique b&bs, or upgrade to a 4 star or 5 star hotels. I have made account to customize this trip for all budgets and tastes just let me know upon booking or prior for any questions and requests. I highly recommend and prefer if the accommodations are managed and done by me as to make sure we all stay in the same area and can easily do the daily pick ups / drop offs as well as optional meet ups during free time/days.

Bogotá

Day 1-3

Day 1: Arrival and Welcome dinner - Explore the city at your own pace. Day 2: A day trip to visit Zipaquira and Guatavita Lake Lagoon, where we will explore and learn about the famous Salt Cathedral inside a salt cave; a place full of history, art and adventure.

La Macarena

Day 3-6

Day 3-5: This is the MAIN highlight of the TRIP! Fly to La Macarena and start our adventure into Colombia's nature where we will spend 3 days between hiking through the jungles and swimming in colorful rivers and pools. July is a good season to witness the 5 colors of Caño Cristales nicknamed "Rainbow River"

Bogotá

Day 6-7

Day 6: Fly back to Bogota and have free time to enjoy the Saturday nightlife that the city has to offer. Start off by visiting some museums during the daytime, then stroll the public plazas and end the night from salsa dancing restrobars to the biggest club in Latin America "Theatron". But make sure you get back to have a few hours of sleep before your next morning early flight!!

Salento

Day 7-9

Day 7: We will fly to Salento and have free time to explore the city at our own pace. Day 8: The next day will be a full day of activities as we will visit the famous Cocora Valley tour and witness the world's tallest palm trees. Then in the afternoon return for a city tour of Salento before heading off to the airport for our next destination.

Medellín

Day 9-11

Day 9: We start the day by having a city tour and visiting the famous Communa 13 to learn about this neighbourhood's history; how it transformed from one of the dangerous narcotics community in Medellin to one of the most touristic, colorful, and safest in Colombia and all of Latin America! Free time in the afternoon and night time to enjoy what the city has to offer! Day 10: Next day we will embark on a full day trip to visit Guatape and a chance to climb the famous El Peñón Rock. Return to Medellin for one last free time to enjoy its nightlife!

Cartagena

Day 11-13

Day 11: Fly to Cartagena and after check in have a city tour of the old walled city's history and culture. Free time in the afternoon and night to immerse yourself with what the city has to offer! Day 12: The next day is a full free day to choose between a day excursion of Islas de Rosario OR El Totumo "Mud" Volcano experience (neither is included in the price) - this is optional as the guest can choose something else to do from the many day excursions available to do from Cartagena - There are many different Islas de Rosario excursions available that vary in price and experience with multiple providers selling every day - no advanced booking is needed! Farewell dinner in the evening! Day 13: The last day is where we either say goodbye and transfer you to the airport OR you can extend your vacation and join the post trip of 5 extra days visiting and seeing more of Colombia's Caribbean destinations (details available to those interested) OR you can continue the journey on your own for a few more days.
