Day 1: Arrival in Auckland β’ Arrive in Auckland and check-in to our apartment-style accommodation. If weβre up for it, take a quick stroll around the local area, grab a light bite or a drink at a nearby cafΓ© or bar, and get a good rest for the exciting days ahead. ππΉ Day 2: Explore Aucklandβs City Highlights β’ Breakfast at local caffe π½οΈ β’ Head out to Auckland Domain, one of the cityβs oldest parks. Visit the Auckland War Memorial Museum, which offers fantastic views of the city and great insights into New Zealand's history. ποΈπ³ β’ Take a walk through the Domainβs beautiful gardens. πΏ Afternoon: β’ Take a trip to the Sky Tower for stunning panoramic views of the city and beyond. We can even step out on the glass floor for an adrenaline-pumping experience! ποΈ β’ Explore Queen Street for some shopping or check out the Auckland Art Gallery for a dose of culture. π¨ποΈ β’ Head to Viaduct Harbour for lunch at one of the many waterfront cafes or restaurants. ππ΄ Evening: β’ Enjoy dinner at one of Aucklandβs top restaurants or head to Wynyard Quarter for a laid-back vibe with plenty of great eateries and bars. π½οΈπΈ We can take a relaxed evening stroll through the area or along the waterfront. π
πΆββοΈ Day 3: Day Trip Around Auckland β’ After breakfast, take a scenic drive or ferry to Rangitoto Island, just off the coast of Auckland. Itβs a dormant volcanic island with a short hike to the summit, where weβll get spectacular views of the city and surrounding islands. πΆββοΈπ Alternatively, explore Waiheke Island for its vineyards and beaches. π·ποΈ Afternoon: If weβre on Rangitoto Island, we can have a picnic at the summit or take the ferry back to the city for lunch. π§Ίπ If weβre visiting Waiheke, we can enjoy a wine tour and lunch at a local vineyard. ππ₯ Evening: β’ Return to Auckland, and for dinner, letβs visit one of Aucklandβs Ponsonby restaurants, a trendy neighborhood full of fantastic dining spots. π½οΈβ¨ We can take a relaxed evening stroll through the area or along the waterfront. ππΆββοΈ Day 4: Last Day in Auckland (Half Day) Morning: β’ Enjoy a leisurely breakfast outside. π³β If time permits, take a final walk through Albert Park or check out the Auckland Waterfront for one last look at the stunning city skyline. ππ β’ Head to the Auckland Fish Market for a seafood lunch before we go (if we have time). π¦π Early Afternoon: Depending on our departure time, we can take a final relaxing moment at a cafΓ© or a local spot before heading to our next destination. π«π

After our time in Auckland, weβll fly to Rarotonga, the main island of the Cook Islands. The flight from Auckland to Rarotonga typically takes about 4-5 hours. Upon arrival, weβll be greeted by the beautiful tropical surroundings of Rarotonga. π΄βοΈ

From Rarotonga, weβll take a short domestic flight (around 45 minutes) to Aitutaki, the stunning island where weβll spend 8 unforgettable days on our whale safari. ππ Aitutaki is known for its crystal-clear lagoons, lush landscapes, and idyllic beaches, making it the perfect base for our adventure.

During our time on Aitutaki, weβll stay at a newly opened beachside resort that features an outdoor swimming pool, a beautiful garden, and a terrace. This resort is literally a dream place to come back to and relax after a thrilling morning or afternoon swimming with whales! ποΈπ
For 8 days, weβll embark on an exciting whale safari, where weβll have the opportunity to observe majestic whales in their natural habitat, guided by certified, experienced, and passionate experts. ππ€ Aitutakiβs serene beauty combined with the thrill of the whale safari promises an experience of a lifetime! π
