About me
I am a former communications consultant with over ten years work experience in China with some projects in the Middle East and Europe. During my time working on projects for clients, I started to travel regularly and developed my own travel hacks and sweet spots in different parts of the world. I have also learned to play around frequent traveller programmes and maximising points and miles for my personal travels.
I was working in the communications/PR industry in China for over ten years and met many wonderful people along the way. I took a break from work in 2017 and returned to postgraduate studies in Belgium, followed by Poland. I worked briefly in Serbia in 2021 and started to travel full time in July 2022, doing a bit of freelance work, online tutoring and volunteering.
I am volunteering in Georgia at the moment, whilst exploring the country during my free time. I will return to Belgrade for ten days or so in early October, and then plan to travel to Indonesia for a new volunteering gig.
My favourite city to visit is Berlin, I love the energy, the people, the history and the architecture. My favourite city to live is Trieste, I love the urban planning, the landscape, the location and the coffee. I love many different types of music, in classical my favourite is The Four Seasons, at some point I had a huge collection of CDs, which are different editions of the same composition by various orchestras and musicians. Right now I am a big fan of Ludovico Einaudi and Max Richter.
I combine my travels with volunteering at the moment, hoping to learn new skills and meet new people along the way. Ultimately I want to settle down with a new career option, potentially in tourism and hospitality.
