About me

A few ambiguities about me: 🌞 I prefer to live in warm, sunny countries that allow for more time outdoors; and I love cosy days inside with a cup of tea contemplating rain or snow. 🤷I spend a lot of time in my room because it's my nourishing sanctuary; and I enjoyed switching hostels and staying in dorms for 9 months when backpacking. 💃 I listen to soothing singing bowls music in the morning to start the day on a positive note; and I like to go out to upbeat techno music for a night out. 🏡 I acknowledge Europe is a beautiful part of the world to build a life; and I have the goal of spending a few seasons based elsewhere less developed. 🧘 I have been journaling and meditating for the past 4 years; and I'm aware that I should spend less time rationalizing everything.

In the beginning of 2023, I started a 9-month solo adventure through Southeast Asia. I covered 26 745 km and stayed in each country for at least one month, crossing off my bucket list Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines. Before that, I completed a Bachelor's degree and worked abroad, having lived in Poland, Sweden, Austria and Spain.
In an attempt to give back to the places, people & communities that rendered me so many wonderful memories during my 9 months solo adventure in Southeast Asia, and to have a means to live in this part of the world for a while, I'm hoping to create and complete a few trips on this platform, while devoting time to other pursuits like getting certified as a Meditation and Yin Yoga Teacher in 2024.
I believe that spending a considerable amount of time abroad, embodying the idea of being a “stranger in a strange land”, as Paulo Coelho wrote in The Alchemist, not only contributes to our self-development but also allows us to gather in-depth insights about the political, economic, social and cultural realities of our vast and diverse world, a type of empirical knowledge which truly elevates us to citizens of the world!
