About me

My name is Justine (Justyna) and I'm from Poland. I am a solopreneur who is involved in various activities of non-governmental organizations and private businesses. Since 2016, she has been running a website and social media about Macedonia, historical, political, and social aspects as well as sustainable tourism and anti-racism. My fascination has started with the Master degree thesis "Potential of tourism in solving conflicts" and has been growing, developing and reshaping ever since. I identify myself as a feminist, lesbian and anti-racist. My the highest value is courage. My role model in the area of leadership is Brene Brown and it is what she says about courage that best reflects what I try to follow every day. “Integrity is choosing courage over comfort” and “When we have the courage to walk into our story and own it, we get to write the ending”. As a historic freak, I don't believe in objectivity but many stories. I also believe that many times unlearning and relearning patterns is more valuable than learning new things.

I was always full everywhere. I have been writing a lot since I was a child, mainly poetry (I even have a few literary successes to my name), I also published articles in various magazines - on sports (volleyball), travel, and conducted interviews. Over the years, I have been associated with volleyball on many levels - from a player, through a volleyball instructor, organizer of sports events, sports referee and sports journalist. I still love this discipline, although the jump is no longer the same. I was active in student media and non-governmental organizations, worked in IT as Operations Manager, in travel agencies, in hotels, as a guide in Albania and Macedonia, I studied - outside my native Poland - in Skopje (Macedonia) and Prague (Czech Republic). Since 2020, I have been running my own business, which grew out of a blog and field research in Macedonia, and now it is my main area of interest, especially through the prism of tourism activities and narrative in the light of anti-racism and DEI.
I am writing a book about Macedonia, I am coordinating an EU project aimed at highlighting the potential of tourism in conflict resolution, diplomacy and sustainable development. In my free time I am running, reading books, playing ukulele and spending time with my beloved not-wife and cat Cate.
... book: A little life - Hanya Yanagihara ... author: Brene Brown. ... movie: Beautiful Boy (2018).
For learning, unlearning and relearning things.
