Hey you adventurer. This winter (New Year's Eve until the end of February) I'm heading back to warm southern Africa with my camper for a road trip to escape the cold winter and enjoy some nice relaxed and free time. My activities include everything that has to do with nature, water and beach - hiking, surfing, diving, snorkeling, swimming, lazing around, sunbathing, yoga, meditation, sports :) If you feel like joining me on this adventure (days or weeks), feel free to get in touch. Best regards, Peter My motorhome is already fully equipped for traveling, Africa-tested and is already on site. My rough itinerary goes from Windhoek with a side trip to the Drakensberg to KZN and the Wildcoast. My activities are mainly the mix and nothing of it excessive - I am rather the relaxed contemporary. Well, what is there to say about me? I'm an uncomplicated wanderlust with an aversion against freezing :D, so that it pulls me every winter in the warm. Maybe some more info about my motorhome: LandRover Defender; comfort sleeping mat 130x200; walkable roof terrace; 100l water tank for showering, brushing teeth, washing hands etc - it gets warm after a few hours in the sun; 4 big aluminum boxes for clothes and everything you need (tools, spare parts, chairs, table, hammock..); fridge and food compartment under the bed; awning as sun and rain protection; cutlery and cooking or food accessories compartment from the outside; darkness; awning as sun and rain protection. Food accessories compartment from the outside; Dark curtains to keep out the sun and prying eyes if you want; Gasoline stove; Barbecue; Large pull-out bed box for daily use items; Snorkel for river crossings in the rainy season; Mosquito netting on the rear windows and additional hook-in mosquito net for malaria areas; Solar panels for refrigerator, lights, cell phone charging and radio; winch, if you get stuck; second starter battery; tow rope, jumper cables, jack; sand plates (more for the desert, if you get stuck) foldable, can be used as a kitchen plate; 2 spare wheels; full-length bench seat in front; mini-Malibu surfboard 7.6 ft; no air conditioning, but who escapes the winter, does not need such a thing and in the traffic jam we are there anyway not :). I can fix pretty much everything myself and know the car by heart, so you don't have to worry about staying there even in no man's land :D I know the area quite well - just got back from a 6 month trip in southern Africa. Initial safety concerns about wild camping on the beach turned out to be unfounded - we have parked and slept on the beach for about 100 nights without hostilities, but with excellent views and ocean sounds for free :)
