We hope that your flight is for an early landing (not past 10:00am) in Uganda. Your safari will start from Entebbe International Airport where the assigned Professional Tour Driver-guide will receive you and then depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Bwindi is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda harboring over 300 of them (which is almost half of the world’s gorilla population). The drive will take you southwest Uganda by road, cross the Equator mark then to Mbarara City for Lunch and through the hilly terrain of western Uganda into Bwindi. You will arrive and do little but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the next day. The Equator crosses the Kampala – Masaka highway and making it an easy stop for some equator science experiences and experiments and do souvenirs shopping in the craft shops around. You will have beautiful Kigezi hills and tea plantations before reach the destination

Mbarara

Day 2
You will pass via Mbarara City and take a brief stopover and rest and enjoy Uganda's coffee aroma. Mbarara city is one place you must visit while in Uganda. Most tourists only get to visit the city while on their way for gorilla trekking in Bwindi or on a safari to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Bunyonyi.

Have breakfast and move to the rangers’ post. You will receive some briefing (from a ranger-guide) on the dos and don’ts during trekking. Thereafter, you will enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular! The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. Once you have located a gorilla group, you will be allowed an hour in their presence. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle but endangered giants is unforgettable. Return to the accommodation, check out and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m) but it’s the 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical — you could admire them all day.
