Guided trip
Ready for the Big Apple? ABOUT ME: Hi, I m Lizzy, I m 23 and will be your Tripleader on this NY trip! I am from Luxemburg but I currently live in England πŸ“ Besides travelling, I enjoy photography, horse-riding and watersports. I love meeting new people and always down for drinks or any Asian food really. Cant wait to meet you! β˜€οΈ My friend and I have been planning this trip ever since March 2020 but then the pandemic hit and we couldn't go. So we are super thrilled to finally go and found a beautiful accommodation right by Madison Square Garden. πŸ™ The accommodation is on the 37th St. which is about 15mins walking distance to Broadway, Times Square, Empire State Building, the Vessel and many more. The place is not big but there are 2 bedrooms ( 1 big room with 2 big beds and one double bed, and the second room has single beds on a bunk bed). The place is fully equipped with a kitchen, bathtub/shower and ofc Free Wifi. πŸ›ŒThere is one bed free in the big room and 2 beds (bunk bed) in the second room. We are looking for 2-3 more people to join us. Preferably in your 20s but don't mind any age as long as you feel comfortable with the things we have planned πŸ“ If you interested in joining, you must be ok with sharing a room :) As for the activities, I think we have all seen movies made in NY and have places in our heads that we connect with the city (think Gossip Girl, New York Minute, etc.) so do we! and we want to visit them all (ideally). We have everyday fully planned out but we are open for suggestions and happy to add a stop. Basically, we will do South Manhatten (Statue of Liberty Boat tour (43USD), Wall St., World Trade Center etc.), Brooklyn (Dumbo, Brooklyn Bridge etc.), going up the Empire State Building (44USD) and/or Rockefeller Center (44USD), Central Park, the MET (20USD) and many more. Going into Museums isnt necessarily planned but will definitely be considered (especially if it is raining) We were thinking of booking the NYC Pass which includes 5 Attractions for 130Euros (Top of Rock, Empire State, Natural History Museum, Boot Tour and 9/11 memorial incl) BE AWARE: There will be a lot of walking 🚢 I am a photographer, so I will be taking a lot of pictures which sometimes can take a little longer but also means you can get a perfect picture on your favorite spot! πŸ“· We will not eat out every single meal, as we have a kitchen and can have breakfast at the flat. For lunch and dinner, we have a few cool restaurants and rooftop bars in mind but we are on a student budget, so affordable food only. Definitely down to check out some bars as well! πŸ’° The price only includes accommodation, some of the activities we have planned will cost extra (Boat Tour, Rockefeller Center etc.) Cost for groceries we will split equally. All costly activities planned are optional :) This trip is going to be one for the books and we would love to have you so feel free to flick me a message and lets get you booked in x πŸ“¬ Also if you need help finding a flight etc. let me know, I m happy to help :) Visa & Covid Requirement questions are welcome too x xoxo

The trip was super organized, varied and you could always bring your own wishes or suggestions, what you want to do in addition. Lizzy is super friendly, open-minded and you felt right at home. We had a lot of fun together and I would always make another trip with her :)

Trip Itinerary
1

354 W 37th St

Day 1-2
Here are 2 pictures from the flat, there is no special view but the flat is super cute and very central and therefor a real rare find! The area is called Midtown West and is in a 15mins walking distance of some of New Yorks main attractions. There are a lot of cafes and hotels around an right around the corner is the Break Bar (where you can literally break things for fun). DAY 1:The day we arrive, I would suggest going out for dinner in the area, or walk to the Vessel which is 15min walking distance as well as the EDGE observation deck. The following are the different things that are planned per day. Days can change.
2

Times Square

Day 2-3
DAY 2: We will visit the Times Square and Broadway, which are a 15mins walk from our place. Then the Rockefeller Center around the corner where you have the best view on the Empire State Building (44USD entry fee). (we will do this on a good weather day) The New York Palace Hotel and St. Patricks Cathedral are also on the list. Next stop on the same day is Grand Central (below)
3

Grand Central Terminal

Day 3
Day 2: If you have seen gossip girl, you will recognise this place for sure, if you havent... it is still New Yorks prettiest train stations and definitely worth a visit! Right next to it is the Summit One Vanderbilt Building (42USD) and the Chrysler Building (you have seen them in movies for sure) So a lot of walking and sightseeing on that day!
4

Empire State Building

Day 3-4
Day 3: We are not quite sure if we are going up the Empire State Building or the Rockefeller Center yet but we will definitely check it out. We will walk by Madison Square Park and the Flatiron Building through the super scenic streets.
5

Central Park

Day 4-5
Day 4: Central Park Central Park is huge and there are a lot of things to see and photo spots. On our list are: - Umpire Rock ( Rocks with city view) - Wollman Rink ( ice skating rink in winter, right next to Gapstow Brigde) - Central Park Zoo (optimal 15USD) - Bethesda Terrace - Central Park Model Boat Sailing (very famous spot, been in many movies) - Belvedere Castle We could visit the American National Museum of Natural History (the one from Night at the Museum) and the Metropolitian Museum of Art is also an option
6

Freiheitsstatue

Day 5-6
Day 5: We will take a boat tour around the Statue of Liberty, its one of these bucket list must-do things I reckon, and is also a great opportunity for pictures. Then visit South Manhatten. There is also some famous attractions around like the Charging Bull Statue, Trinity Church, the Wall Street and the World Trade Center, 9/11 memorial (30USD).
7

Brooklyn

Day 6-7
Day 6: We will walk across Brooklyn Bridge (will take us long because we will take a lot of pictures most likely) and then check out Dumbo, Pebble Beach and there is also a really scenic NY skyline lookout spot. Pretty open to suggestions on what to do that day. Might be able to combine it with Chinatown and Little Italy as it is kind of on the way
