Day 1-2
Just a 5-minute drive from Cinecittà Film Studios and 10 minutes' walk from Alessandrino Metro on line C, Hotel Artis is set in a residential area, 9 km from Rome city centre. This hotel offers free parking, free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk. The Artis features air-conditioned rooms with an LCD TV, satellite channels and a minibar. The en suite marble bathrooms feature a hairdryer. A sweet and savory buffet breakfast is available. The on-site restaurant specializes in Italian and Roman cuisine. Day 2-3
We will experience an enormous New Year’s Eve concert, which will take place on the Via dei Fori Imperiali from 9:30pm onwards on New Year’s Eve. Afterwards the countdown will be started which will be followed by fireworks at midnight. We are going to experience an original, crazy and funny New Year’s party, we will hop on the company Bus Inglesa Roma for a bus rides through the city in an original British double-decker bus on New Year’s Eve, party on board included! The bus provides a dance floor, karaoke microphones, animation and a DJ. we’ll be served a delicious dinner while enjoying the panoramic view from the bus. A unique experience that will make our New Year’s Eve in Rome unforgettable.

Day 3-4
We will start our tour right outside the monumental Colosseum. Here, an expert in Roman history will give us an introduction to the finest arena of the Roman Empire. We will explore the magnificent Colosseum, which has 80 entrances and could accommodate around 65,000 spectators. Hear about the spectacular festivals the Romans held here, which could last up to 100 days. Enjoy time at our leisure after our visit to take some pictures, refresh ourselves, and wander around. Then, being the second part of our tour to the Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. We will explore the social, political, and religious center of the Roman Empire, where the different strata of Roman society would rub shoulders. Take in the incredible ruins at Palatine Hill on a guided tour of the grounds, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the Colosseum. For the second part of our tour, we will have the opportunity to meet our second guide, who is passionate about Ancient Rome. Make the most out of your experience by having two of the highest-rated guides lead us through the areas of expertise they know best.

Day 4-5
We will uncover the secret's making authentic homemade pasta from a local chef with this cooking class in Rome. Craft your own tasty Tiramisù to compliment your pasta. Feast on your creations paired with a glass of Italian wine. Greet your chef at the established restaurant in the heart of Rome. Put on your chef hat and your apron, and prepare yourself for an amazing cooking experience. Start by making your own pasta from flour and eggs. Rely on the chef to show you which kind of pasta you can prepare with this recipe, and choose your favorite one to cut. Once the pasta is ready, move on to learn how to prepare Tiramisù, using all the provided ingredients and finding out which tools are needed. Once the lesson has finished, enjoy a sit-down dinner. Just choose your topping sauce: carbonara, amatriciana, cacio e pepe, alfredo, or more. Have a break and relax with a good glass of wine as we let the restaurant prepare our dish using our very own pasta.

Day 5
We will embark on an electric bike tour in the morning or afternoon along the Appian Way to the St. Callisto Catacombs and a natural spring in the scenic countryside. Take an adventure outside of Rome by cycling alongside the city walls. Hop on an e-bike and cycle along a traffic-free path through parks, farmland, and along the ancient Appian Way. We arrive at the church of Rome's first official burial site, a labyrinth of underground rooms connected by tunnels used to bury their dead in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd centuries. We will see the road the Romans built almost 2,300 years ago as if it was yesterday. In places, there are still the original stones paving the top, pagan tombs, and remnants from medieval structures. Cycle through the history of this magnificent area left untouched by the development of the modern city. Later, pass a natural spring where water is coming out of the ground for a taste of local life. Drink from the source, and try some local delicacies available from the snack shop, which also has a selection of local wines and bottled drinks (cost not included). On the way back to the start, cycle through a public park called the Cafarella Valley. THIS ACTIVITY IS OPTIONAL AND IS NOT ADDED TO THE TRIP PRICE
