Starting in Korfu, we will sail to Albania and explore the coast and anchorages of this relatively off the beaten path onboard a comfortable sailing yacht that has just sailed around the world with its longtime skipper who is happy to lead you to new adventures. My sailing yacht Free Spirit is equipped with many nice toys like a SUP and a watermaker that makes life on the sea comfortable and chill. We will do a good mix of swimming around the boat in anchorages, visiting 1-2 island towns and explore there, visiting beach bars and Tavernas and maybe take a scooter to drive around an island. We will pool about 200 Euros per person at the start of the trip for the "crew kitty" to get food and drinks for the week and for marina fees and for re-fueling the boat at the end of the trip.
About Me! I am a 37-year-old German journalist who quit his job to sail around the world. I have also worked as a yacht skipper as a side job for 10+ years. I have also a masters degree in Political Science and Sociology. I am easygoing and uncomplicated as a person.
The boat has 4 double cabins. You share your cabin usually with another crew member of the same sex unless you want it differently. We also have 2 mattresses to sleep on deck and 2 hammocks. We have two bathrooms. In the middle of the boat is the salon with kitchen and big table with sofa area to hang out, cook and eat. Any questions about the trip? Trip Itinerary

Corfu Old Town
Day 1-2
We will arrive in and anchor near to Korfu town. Via the boats dinghy we will get to land and explore the old town, its bars and tavernas. The view of the old town from the anchorage is also quite nice.

Sarandë
Day 2-3
After crossing the border with a leisurely day-sail, we will clear the boat and crew in this bustling border town and see what it has to offer. In the evening we will either watch the harbor scene from the deck of our yacht or explore local bars. On a second day we cab explore the famous nearby Ksamil islands and their beaches for some fancy swimming.

Kakome bay
Day 3-4
After a day-sail along the coast and maybe even some offshore swimming around / jumping from the boat, we will anchor in front of this lovely beach with turquoise waters and explore a bit on shore, hike up the hill for a good view over the bay and make friends with the wild goats. After the day-trippers are gone, we will have this isolated bay for ourselves for some romantic nightly star-gazing from deck or maybe night-swimming? Your choice

Gjipe Beach
Day 4-5
After a day-sail along the coast and maybe even some offshore swimming around / jumping from the boat, we will anchor in front of this lovely beach with turquoise waters and explore a bit on shore. Later we might chill at the beach bar and enjoy their bonfire at night and then cook and eat on the boat.

Orikum Marina
Day 5-6
After spending two nights at anchorages in the south "in the wild", we will want to enjoy a marina night at Albanias so far only and brand new marina. In the evening we will cook for ourselves on the boat or explore what the local tavernas and restaurants have to offer.

Durrës
Day 6-7
After a longer sail along the coast we will rest a bit and then explore the town and see what it has to offer. This town is also the destination harbor of the trip and you can take a bus to Albanias capital Tirana to explore it for 1-2 days after our trip and fly out with a cheap Easyjet flight.
