Trip Itinerary
1
Marrakesh
Day 1-14
We'll be living and working from the city center of Marrakech, very close to the main square (Jemaa el-Fna) in a traditional Riad with breakfasts prepared by our lovely housekeeper as all the other meals that we wish (Included in the price). We'll live to the fullest the Moroccan Experience, immersing ourselves in their culture, food, music, sounds, and more. Here during the 2 weeks, we'll have enough time to visit all the main spots of Marrakech, I'm already looking forward to the Souks (markets)... Super excited about this unique experience.
2
Bahia Palace
Day 14
This 150-room palace was home to slave-turned-vizier Abu βBouβ Ahmed, who spared no expense in its gorgeous decoration. The painted, gilded ceilings, polychrome zellige tiling, and carved stucco still have the intended effect. That'll be "WOW", just so you know.
3
Souk Semmarine
Day 14
Marrakech is famous for its souks (markets), and Souk Semmarine is the biggest of them all. Rugs, leather goods, silverware and crockery of all shapes and sizes are on offer in this labyrinth β just try not to get lost. For a true Marrakchi experience, get stuck in and do some haggling with one of the local traders. Knock them down from their opening price and come away with a one-of-a-kind memento.
4
Jemaa el-Fna
Day 14
The vast open square at the heart of the Medina is one of Marrakechβs biggest attractions and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the center of Marrakesh life. Expect snake charmers, street entertainers and over-enthusiastic henna artists at every turn. Locals and tourists descend on the Jemaa every night, drawn by the ceaseless hoopla and halqa (street theater). Grab some food from one of the barbecue stalls, listen to some music, head up to a rooftop bar and marvel at the sunset.
5
Essaouira
Day 14
If we'll have time and energy, we'll drive to the Moroccan coast, to Essaouira. A port city and resort on Moroccoβs Atlantic coast. Essaouira has its own fortified old Medina, amazing cuisine, and a fun and hip energy that is very distinct from other Moroccan cities.
6
AΓ―t Benhaddou
Day 14
On the way to the desert we will have multiple stops such as visiting AΓ―t Benhaddou! It is considered a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.
7
Ouarzazate
Day 14
Another stop on the way to the desert will be Ouarzazate. Ouarzazate is a city south of Moroccoβs High Atlas mountains, known as a gateway to the Sahara Desert. The Ouarzazate area is a noted film-making location, with Morocco's biggest studios inviting many international companies to work here. Films such as the Gladiator (2000), and Kingdom of Heaven (2005) were shot here, as was part of the TV series Game of Thrones.
8
Zagora Desert Tours
Day 14-15
At the end of the tour, we'll reach the desert of Zagora known as the gate of the Sahara desert in Morocco sits at the foot of Anti-Atlas Mountains and on the shore of the Draa Valley in South Eastern Morocco. Here we'll have hopefully one of the most memorable nights of our lives. Here everything is included: transportation, camel ride, 3 meals (lunch, dinner, and breakfast), and the camp. I don't need to explain to you more, you know what we are talking about, and it's going to be AMAZING!
