Vatican City

Day 1-3
We will be meeting at the Fiumicino Airport (if your flight lands at Ciampino Airport, there's a direct bus between them and I can come get you 😃). We will head towards our accomodation (apartment, all single beds) and then towards the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel and visit Saint Peter's Basilica. The Vatican Museums display works from the immense collection amassed by the Catholic Church and the papacy throughout the centuries, including several of the most well-known Roman sculptures and most important masterpieces of Renaissance art in the world. The fame of the Sistine Chapel lies mainly in the frescoes that decorate the interior, most particularly the Sistine Chapel ceiling and 'The Last Judgment', both by Michelangelo. Designed principally by Donato Bramante, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno and Gian Lorenzo Bernini, St. Peter's Basilica is the most renowned work of Renaissance architecture and the largest church in the world by interior measure. We will take our time to thoroughly explore all the attractions and then have an Italian dinner at a restaurant. After that, we can explore the city life in the heart of Rome!
2

Colosseum

Day 3-4
The Colosseum is the largest ancient amphitheater ever built. The infamous arena is also called 'Anfiteatro Flavio' from its patrons of work belonging to the Flavian dynasty. For centuries the Roman Forum was the center of day-to-day life in Rome: the site of triumphal processions and elections; the venue for public speeches, criminal trials, and gladiatorial matches; and the nucleus of commercial affairs. On this day, after breakfast we will take the subway to head to the Colosseum, which we will enter and explore on a tour including the Roman Forums and the Palatine Hill. From there we will have lunch with the infamous view of the amphitheater, meanwhile it would be my pleasure to make dinner at home for all of you after the amazing day!

Pantheon

Day 4-5
The Pantheon is famous for being the most preserved monument of ancient Rome. It was constructed as a temple dedicated to the Gods and became the burial ground for several important people, including famous artists and kings. Fun facts about the Trevi Fountain: it's one of the oldest water sources in Rome, made of the same material as the Colosseum, and it collects millions of coins in a single year! On the last day, we will mainly go around the city visiting the fountains and squares (we can also go shopping there!), like Trevi fountain, Spagna Square and Navona Square using the quick subway. We will explore the Pantheon and admire the Tiber river, and toss coins in the fountains for good luck! Don't worry, in each day we will try a different typical Italian meal, and we are going to see every amazing sight there is to witness in Rome! At the end of the day, we will head back to our respective destinations.
