I would like to explore this exciting and diverse city in the Philippines for 3 days. I can imagine mixtures of sightseeing, nature, culture and relaxation. Alone, of course, this is not as much fun as together. This is for thrill-seekers who are up for an adventure, and a lot of times involves backpacking. That's why I'm looking for 2-3 TripMates who want to join my adventure to Samal Island or the Island Garden City of Samal in Davao del Norte, Mindanao is known as the largest resort city in the Philippines since. It's home to more than 30 resorts with over 1,000 rooms. Being just 2 km away from Davao City via a ferry ride, Samal Island is one of the top tourist spots for travelers visiting the capital city of Mindanao. It's blessed with pristine beaches and incredible snorkeling and diving sites, aside from luxury to budget resorts that make for the ultimate tropical getaway. I will be prepared, but not your professional travel tour guide. Let's explore together! I have already planned a route in details - but your wishes can of course still be taken into account, or you can pick what you want to do, and let me figure out the logistics. To get from point A to B, I will be renting a car and will drive you around the island as we explore the hidden beauty of Samal and have easy and flexible access to it. About myself: My name is Drou, I am 29 years old, I'm from Manila, Philippines and have already travelled a lot in my home country and travelled few abroad - so I would call myself kinda bit of a "travel experienced". I don't necessarily travel in comfort and style at the nicest hotels, restaurants, and with first-class flights. Trying to get the most bang for your buck and typically involves staying at hostels, couchsurfing, and finding the cheapest local transportation and eats, so you get a greater appreciation of a place and get the chance to explore more hidden gems. My plan is to stay at a budget friendly Paradise Island beachfront resort, so rooms/cottage will probably be shared. ๐ What's the plan? On Day 1 and 2 we will visit the Hagimit Falls, Monfort Bat Sanctuary and local foodie outlets. On Day 3, we will have a free day can spend all day at the playground and be in touch with nature at their park. Swimming day, of course, will not be skipped while you breathe in the cool air and feel the heat on your skin. Canoeing in the areaโs crystal-clear water is one of the tripโs highlights. Truly, your bucket list will be fulfilled in this one-of-a-kind paradise in Samal Island! Most international visitors that take flights to the Philippines arrive from flights that land in Manila at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA 1,2 and 3). ๐ฐ The trip price includes: - Shared Accommodation (beachfront resort) - Transportation (private car rental) - Tickets to Hagimit Falls and Monfort Bat Sanctuary (entrance) - Ferry Boat Transfers (Davao City - Samal Island - Davao City) I also included a buffer, just in any case there will be unexpected costs. Expectations: - Positive effects on mental health and wellness - It reveals a world of cultures to explore and people to meet - Build meaningful connections and travel - Fun and engaging activities - To leave your comfort zone and try new things - To never take nature for granted - To enjoy experiences over things ๐ Transportation: - Private Car (I will be your personal driver) - Airport Pick-up and Drop-off (Francisco Bangoy Int'l Airport) - Airport: Francisco Bangoy International 8.2 km away from Samal Island - Boat transfers (Davao-Samal-Davao) ๐ Meals Breakfast is served every morning in the restaurant! EXCLUSIONS: - RT Airfares MNL-DVO-MNL (Fly from Manila to Davao) - Dinners - Mask & Snorkel Gears, Aqua shoes / Footwear/ Swimwear / Souvenirs So, are you excited and ready to join my Samal Island adventure? Send me a message. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Also, I'm open to any suggestions for this adventure.๐
