I’m looking forward to showing you the sunny Lisbon and all the beautiful and hidden places, as I explored them, living in this amazing city for six months. About this trip:🎉 Through this trip, I want to show you all the unique places, food, sights, and music that this city has. We will tour the colorful alleys of sunny Lisbon, taste the famous pastel de nata (traditional dessert) and codfish which they cook in 200 different ways, surf in Costa Caparica, visit Belem and Cabo da Roca (the westernmost point of continental Europe) and discover the nightlife of the city. This is my first experience with Joinmytrip and I can honestly say it's been amazing! Erini is such a lovely person to be around and her bubblyness is so infectious. It was like I was just travelling with a friend, from start to finish she was a star. Thank you so much for organising such an amazing trip with some awesome lifelong memories and experiences! Erini is super organised, very open-minded and patient. We at times just did things spontaneously as a group and Erini was more than accommodating in fitting those into our schedule. Lisbon

Day 1-3

We will all meet at the hostel (in the center of Lisbon) where we will stay for 6 days (5 nights) and it’s the place that we will start our adventure. Due to the different times of arrivals the program of the first day will be flexible. You can ask me about the way you can reach the hostel

Lisbon

Day 3-6

On the second day we will explore the beautiful alleys of Lisbon with a tour guide, we will try the delicious pastels de nata, visit the famous miradouros (view points) and ride through the city with the no 28 tram, which crosses the neighborhoods of Alfama and Graca. At night we could attend a fado show which is a great opportunity to get introduced to Portuguese culture.

Costa da Caparica

Day 6

On the third day, we will go SURFING!!!!!!!! Costa Caparica is a famous surfing point and with the help of a surf instructor, we will tame the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The sea is a little unpredictable so we might change the day according to the weather and the height of the waves. However, don’t worry about the period! The first time I ever surfed was in January in Costa Caparica.

Belém

Day 6

The fourth day includes our visit to Belem, a lovely historical place, half an hour far from Lisbon, where we will also visit the Jeronimos Monastery, a masterpiece of 16th-century architecture in Portugal. Of course, we can't leave this place without tasting the best of the best, pasties de Belem. The first recipe of pastel de Belem was created in 1837 by the monks of the emblematic Jeronimos Monastery!

Cabo da Roca

Day 6

On the fifth day, we will visit Cabo da Roca, an incredible view point of the Atlantic Ocean. Breaking waves, rocky shores, and windswept cliffs, Cabo da Roca ticks all the boxes, with one added bonus—it’s the westernmost point of mainland Europe. Also, we will do a small hike to Praia da Ursa, an incredible beach, that faced the Atlantic Ocean and is one of my favorite places in Portugal. Back to the hostel and plans for the night.
