Cotignac

Day 1
Day of arrival! Depending on everyone's arrival time, I can help you arrange an airport pickup, or you can take a vehicle that can take you to the hotel in Cotignac. We will meet at our lodging. We'll have dinner together in the evening, and discuss our schedule for the week.

Verdon Gorge

Day 1-2
The next day, we will drive to Gorges du Verdon to explore the villages of Castellane and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, one of the most beautiful places for first-day activities. The lake's turquoise waters are surrounded by picturesque landscapes, and it's a popular spot for swimming, boating, and relaxation. Day 1: Verdon Gorges (east side) Activities Castillon Lac The emerald blue color of Castillon Lake is breathtaking. There are 3 beaches around the lake of Castillon: - La plage du Plan (Saint-Andrรฉ les Alpes) - The Cheiron Bay (Castellane) - The Touron beach (Saint Julien du Verdon). Activities -Swimming, -Rent a boat -Kayaking It is a true refuge of calm because it is surrounded by mountains. You can swim on the beaches or drive around the lake.

Le Sentier des Ocres

Day 2-3
Day 2. We will explore Le sentier des Ocres. The Sentier des Ocres which is filled with vibrant colors that are difficult to find anywhere in this tranquil region of France. Activities -Taking a walk through the Old Town -Visit Okhra, the ochre ecomuseum -Walk along the Sentier des Ocres. -Visit art galleries

Pont du Gard

Day 3-4
We also go to the Pont du Gard in the afternoon, one of the most impressive Roman structures still standing. It's incredible to see this three-tiered aqueduct that spans the Gardon River close to Vers-Pont-du-Gard constructed in the first century BC. We'll also go to areas like: - The Arena of Nรฎmes (the best-preserved Ancient Roman amphitheater in the world) - The Maison Carrรฉ (the only Roman temple from Antiquity to be completely preserved) - The Jardins and the Quais de la Fontain A few kilometers away is the breathtaking masterpiece of the Pont du Gard (a UNESCO World Heritage Site and another Grand Site de France).

The Marqueyssac gardens

Day 4-5
The most popular garden in Perigord right now is Marqueyssac, one of the most beautiful and romantic gardens in all of France. This will be our final visit. Marqueyssac's Gardens, perched on rocky spur overlooking the valley of the Dordogne offers you in a magical place one of the most beautiful panorama of the Dordogne a national historical monument, have been designed for walking with more than 6 km of paths lined with 150,000 hand-cut century-old box trees, and embellished with waterfalls, belvederes, rock gardens and green theatres. Once we return home, we can enjoy our final evening together. We will have to check out of our accommodations because our departure is set for the following day. However, I can suggest some extracurricular activities if your trip home is delayed.
