Guided trip
Looking for an immersive experience into Eastern-European culture? Then this trip is for you! Why Bulgaria? Well, Sofia is the second oldest capital city in Europe - so a LOT of history to reveal. The Cyrillic alphabet was developed in Bulgaria during the 9th century and is now used by more than 252 million people - I’ll teach you some basic Bulgarian words and phrases. Bulgaria is well known for its rose and is one of the biggest rose-oil producers in the world - but have you tried dark chocolate with roses inside? AND OF COURSE The Bulgarian SALTY yogurt. Yes, salty. Why me? What I’m offering you is the most authentic way to experience the country. I’m a local tour guide so meaningless to say - I eat and breathe Bulgarian history, culture, and hidden gems. This is not going to be the typical tourist sightseeing trip, but an immersive and memorable experience of the Eastern European lifestyle. Be prepared to learn how to dance traditional folklore dances and to try my grandmother’s banitsa! What have I planned? • In-depth walking tour in Sofia: 7000 years of history in 2 and a half hours (led by me, of course). • Trip to the beautiful mountain of Vitosha - visit of the Boyana Church (part of the UNESCO World Heritage List), the Boyana Waterfall + a picnic in nature with homemade food. • An hour-long horse riding at sunset in the fields and forests outside Sofia - don’t worry, even if you have never ridden a horse before, you’ll be able to pull it off, it’s for beginners. • A day trip to Plovdiv - the second biggest city in Bulgaria - lunch at the Kapana creative neighborhood and a walking tour with a local guide • Traditional food tasting • Going out - Balkan style! • I’m also planning a surprise workshop for you but we will see if we’ll have the time. What’s included in the PRICE: • Accommodation in a shared room/hostel • Sofia City Tour with a local guide • Dinner at a local restaurant with music and traditional dances • Transportation to the Vitosha Mountain • Entrance to the Boyana Church • Homemade lunch in the mountain • 1-Hour horse riding experience at sunset • Transportation to Plovdiv • Plovdiv City Tour with a local guide • Personal gift at departure • Trip planning and packing list Sounds good! Then let’s make some memories! Do you have a question? Ask in the Q&A next to my profile! Can’t wait to hear from you! 🙌🏻
