Seminyak
Day 1
No activities except 🥁 getting ready to meet your fellow travellers! We’ll meet at an award-winning boutique hotel in the bustling tourism district of Seminyak, and head to the beach for a bite of Indonesia over sunset
2
Ubud
Day 1-2
Heading northward, we’ll spend the next 48hrs in Ubud - the cultural heart of Bali. Its quaint walkways cutting through lush rice fields and jungles will offer a welcoming contrast to the busy streets elsewhere. A warm Balinese welcome will be provided at a costumed legong dance performance, as well as humankind’s next-of-kin - aka clans of naughty monkeys that inhabit the Sacred Monkey Forest
3
Kintamani
Day 2-4
After a lazy morning in Ubud, we’ll continue our journey northward, stopping at Tirta Empul to admire devotees who ask for blessings from the holy springs in this area. Our destination of the day: Kintamani, a volcanic region known for its natural beauty and bounties 🐟 Early bedtime advised because… you’ve guessed it 🥾 We’ll roll out of bed during the wee hours to climb Mount Batur - an active volcano with an elevation of 1,717m, offering sweeping views of mountains, lakes, and the island of gods
4
Besakih Great Temple
Day 4
Leaving the majestic formations of Kintamani behind, we will head eastward into the real cultural heart of Bali for a half-day trip. In the shadow of Mount Agung, a much revered active volcano and the tallest point of the island, we will roam around the great Hindu temple complex of Besakih - known as the Mother Temple of Bali, and mingle with the hundreds of worshippers who climb its steps daily We will spend the following nights near Lovina Beach, in the very north of Bali
5
Lovina Beach
Day 4-7
Having trekked high and low across Bali, you’ll be treated to a mini beachside holiday in Lovina. Did I mention we’ll be staying at a 4-star hotel? During the day, we’ll take things slow and sample the best things this area has to offer: from a leisurely voyage into Lovina Bay for a bit of dolphin-spotting, to bathing in the power of waterfalls in the nearby mountains. There will be plenty of water sports on offer too, for you amphibians out there 🤿
6
Bukit Peninsula
Day 7-9
On our last couple of days, we will find our way back to Bali’s southernmost Bukit Peninsula. You’ll have ample time to explore its hidden (surfer-friendly) beaches and impeccable shorelines. On our last evening together, we will visit the much revered Uluwatu Temple together and catch the kecak fire dance over sunset. A seafood dinner will be on the table, too, to help us relish the journey before saying goodbyes
