Starting in Durres, we will sail to Montenegro and mainly explore the Montenegro coast and anchorages of this relatively off the beaten path onboard a comfortable sailing yacht that has just sailed around the world with its longtime skipper who is happy to lead you to new adventures. My sailing yacht Free Spirit is equipped with many nice toys like a SUP and a watermaker that makes life on the sea comfortable and chill. We will do a good mix of swimming around the boat in anchorages, visiting 1-2 island towns and explore there, visiting beach bars and Tavernas and maybe take a scooter to drive around an island. We will pool about 200 Euros per person at the start of the trip for the "crew kitty" to get food and drinks for the week and for marina fees and for re-fueling the boat at the end of the trip.
About Me! I am a 37-year-old German journalist who quit his job to sail around the world. I have also worked as a yacht skipper as a side job for 10+ years. I have also a masters degree in Political Science and Sociology. I am easygoing and uncomplicated as a person.
The boat has 4 double cabins. You share your cabin usually with another crew member of the same sex unless you want it differently. We also have 2 mattresses to sleep on deck and 2 hammocks. We have two bathrooms. In the middle of the boat is the salon with kitchen and big table with sofa area to hang out, cook and eat. Any questions about the trip? Trip Itinerary

Durrës
Day 1-2
After a longer sail along the coast we will rest a bit and then explore the town and see what it has to offer. This town is also the destination harbor of the trip and you can take a bus to Albanias capital Tirana to explore it for 1-2 days after our trip and fly out with a cheap Easyjet flight.

Bar
Day 2-3
From Durres we start with some sunrise sailing to make the long 50 mile leg to Bar in Montenegro. Its going to be a full day sailing at sea along the coast in front of lush mountain ranges. In Bar we clear into Montenegro and end the day in the Marinà bar - for sundowner drinks of course :-).

Budva
Day 3-4
After the long sail to Montenegro we have an easy short sail from Bar to Budva on day two. This leaves us with plenty time to swim around the boat at the anchorage and check out the beach or the two famous off-lying islands.

Bay of Kotor
Day 4-6
We take two days to explore this long fjord-like bay at the heart of Montenegros coast and all it has to offer: Ímpressive mountain ranges, beautiful old towns and piazzas and calm waters. We have several options to anchor or go to a marina - as the crew wishes or whatever we may be in the mood for.

Dubrovnik
Day 6-7
At the end of the trip we will arrive in Dubrovnik in southern Croatia. We will stroll the elegant town and wind down the trip most likely with a restaurant night and maybe even some bar-hopping. Lets see :-)
