Day 11-12
Excursion to Ronda and the White Mountain Villages. We will decide on the best day to take this excursion, and we will travel by car with me as your guide. We will visit the famous city of Ronda, dramatically set above a deep gorge known as El Tajo. This gorge separates the city's 15th-century new town from its old town, dating back to Moorish rule. Ronda is one of the oldest cities in Spain and is known as the birthplace of bullfighting. The Puente Nuevo, the tallest of the city's bridges, towers 120 meters above the canyon floor and is one of the city's most impressive features. After visiting this legendary city, we will continue our trip along winding mountain roads to visit some of the picturesque white mountain villages with narrow streets and colorful flowers. Finally, we will treat ourselves to a delicious dinner at a local restaurant recommended by me.
