Hi there folks! This is going to be a fun ski weekend at beautiful Zell am See with departure from Vienna on Friday afternoon and return by Sunday night. We shall be driving together in a car with space enough for you and your skis and rocking out to some nice tunes on the way. We'll be staying in an apartment and 3 private rooms will be available. Non-skiers are also welcome to join if they'd just like to enjoy Tyrol in the Winter, alternative winter sports or other activities will be organised for them as per their preference. Our visit will also coincide with the Zell am See Christmas Market which brings a bright festive atmosphere to the charming town and which we will visit. Please bring: - Appropriate skiwear - Your Driver's Licence if you'd like to drive - Your favourite road trip playlist - Your skis (or you can rent them at the slopes) We're going to have Saturday and Sunday dedicated to skiing, which are going to be covered by the included ski-pass. Apart from the skiing, we're going to be fairly flexible with schedule and mobility so if you would like we can also drive around exploring destinations around or on the way. I am also free on Monday so if everyone on board unanimously wants to extend the trip by a day we can do that as well.
About me! I love road trips and sharing the joy of good cars, scenery, music and company! Join me as we dive into the winter charm of gorgeous Tyrol, looking forward to a fun drive down and enjoying the ski season in one of Europe's premier ski destinations!
Details about the accommodation: We'll be staying at a comfortable apartment not far from the slopes. Naturally, all essentials such as a functional kitchen, hot water, linens, towels and Wi-Fi will be provided. Three private rooms will be available. We'll be checking out on Sunday, so we'll be going from the accommodation to the slopes then head back to Vienna from there. Let me know if you have questions about the trip in the Q&A section!

Vienna will be our point of departure. Seeing as carrying skis to a meeting point might be tricky, every effort will be made to pick up tripmates from a place they're comfortable with. We'll be leaving around 4 pm in the afternoon and hope to arrive in Zell am See by 9 pm. However, if everyone can leave earlier or conversely if a later departure suits everyone, we can modify the time of departure accordingly.
Zell am See
Friday evening will see us arriving at Zell am See, a picturesque jewel nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps. Surrounded by stunning mountains and overlooking the pristine waters of Lake Zell, this charming alpine town seamlessly blends natural beauty with cultural richness. Zell am See beckons adventurers with a plethora of outdoor activities, from year-round skiing on the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier to leisurely boat rides across the crystal-clear lake. There are dozens of excellent options for dining and wellness activities as well as a vibrant nightlife scene. We'll be staying close by and hitting the ski slopes on Saturday and Sunday. Between ski sessions and on the way to/from Vienna, we may also have time to explore other points of interest.
Making full use of the slopes on Sunday, we will set off from Zell am See in the evening, planning to return to Vienna by 10 pm. Of course subject to unanimous agreement among the tripmates, the departure time can also be flexible.
