Guided trip
Strasbourg is a city rich in culture and history. It was a center of the reformation. It has an interesting mix of German and French cultures. Let's go and explore everything. We will start on July 25 by meeting at our shared apartment. We will get to know each other over a welcome meal either at the flat or in a restaurant. Either way, we will try to fit in as much sightseeing as we can, such as taking a walk on Ponts Couvert, the 3 bridgges that cross the river and have 3 towers that were from a wall built in the 13th century, Petit France Quarter, and Parc de L'Orangerie. The next days will be spent with more in depth discovery of museums and Notre Dame de Strasbourg just to name a few. We will also eat regionzl dishes such as choucroute garnie and indulge in regional wine. My name is Jai, and I first went to France in 1994 with a school trip. Sadly, we did not make it to Strasbourg. But I am facinated with the mixing of French and German culture, as well as the history. Included: -Accomodation (shared apartment) -Breakfast We can decide on the spot for food and other extra costs and split them later during the trip. The price for food per person for every day approximately would be 10-20 euros if we are reasonable but there is a bit of everything in Strasbourg. Are you as excited as me? Trip Itinerary
1

Strasbourg

Day 1-5
This is of course the city we will stay and see. We will meet at the apartment. We will begin each day with a breakfast at the apartment before going around the city to see all we can see, including parks and museums.
2

Palais du Rhin

Day 5
This Palace was built to commemorate, at the time, the the joining of Alsace to the German Reich. The building is surrounded by gardens and topped with a unique dome. It is colored with yellow sandstone.
3

Alsatian Museum

Day 5
This museum was built in former dwellings in Strasbourg and details the life in Strasbourg since the museum's establishment in 1902. There are many artifacts in this museum, and the museum was created in resistance to Germanification of the region, mainly in the late 1800's-early 1900's.
4

Cathédrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg

Day 5
Construction finally ended on this gothic cathedral in 1365. The cathedral was built from ruins of an older cathedral. It is the second tallest cathedral in France and the fifth largest in the world.
