Trip Itinerary

Tel Aviv-Yafo

Day 1-2
Day 1 Wednesday: Arrival in Israel - Tel Aviv Welcome to Israel ✡️! You will most likely arrive at Tel Aviv Airport (TLV), also called Ben Gurion International Airport. The fastest connection between city and airport is by train (appr. 20 min.). Should you arrive early, explore the city on your own or chill out on one of the many beautiful city beaches. Our group meets on the rooftop terrace of our accommodation at 8PM. We can open a bottle of local wine or non-alcoholic drinks, and you will be given an introduction into what is awaiting you on the trip. This will also be a good opportunity to meet your fellow trip mates! INCLUSIVE ✅ 2 nights in a central hotel/hostel-style guesthouse in shared twin-bed room with a beautiful roof-top terrace (excl. breakfast)
2

Nazareth

Day 2
Day 2 Thursday: Explore Nazareth, Jordan River and Sea of Galilee Our first full day in Isael we spend with sightseeing of some of the most famous Biblical sites: Nazareth, Capernaum synagogue and the Sea of Galilee. We take part in a full-day guided tour and learn about the history behind the places, which names we know from the Bible. Our tour begins by a hotel-pick-up, and we travel along the coast via the plain of Armageddon to Nazareth.
3

Tiberias

Day 2
After exploring Nazareth, we will pass the Mount of Beatitudes and continue to the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus is said to have walked the water. We visit one of the last ancient synagogues in Capernaum. Finally, overlooking Tiberias, we stop at the site of baptism on the Jordan River. Our return is scheduled for the late afternoon. The grand final for this day is a visit to the viewing platform of the Azrieli Center, where drinks and food are served as well! INCLUSIVE ✅ Full-day tour with local guide, transfers and admission to sites ✅ Tips for the guide and driver
4

Tel Aviv-Yafo

Day 2-3
Day 3 Friday: Explore Tel Aviv - evening transfer to Jerusalem Today is our first sightseeing day in Tel Aviv and we will be exploring Israel's most modern city - Tel Aviv! I have planned out an interesting itinerary, which among others includes Old Jaffa and Port, UNESCO World Heritage 'White-City' with its stunning Bauhaus architecture and the Shuk HaCarmel - Carmel Market. If the famous Flea Market is in operation, we can plan in to scroll around the colousful and deliciously smelling stalls as well. The most interesting and famous buildings and sites can be visited in one day. If we want, we can join a free walking tour in the city (not included as part of the itinerary) or just explore Tel Aviv on our own. Due to Shabbat, the last train to Jerusalem departs around 4pm and we will pick up our luggage and continue our journey to Jerusalem. INCLUSIVE ✅ We explore Tel Aviv at our own pace ✅ Train ticket Tel Aviv - Jerusalem (we take the latest train in the afternoon)
5

Jerusalem

Day 3-4
Friday Evening - Shabbat: We reach Jerusalem in approximately one hour. Once we have checked in into our rooms, we can `celebrate` holy Shabbat by getting together for a dinner. The dinner will be prepared together in groups (you do not have to attend, if you prefer to rest) and eaten together. Shabbat, which lasts from Friday sunset to Saturday evening, is when the Jewish family meets for prayers and meals. Due to this religious day, which can be compared to Sundays in Catholic countries, tourist attractions and transports (in Jerusalem and in most parts of Israel) will be either closed or in limited operation. INCLUSIVE ✅ 2 nights in twin rooms in a centrally located guesthouse (ca. 15. walk from the Wailing Wall)
6

Bethlehem

Day 4
Day 4 Saturday (Shabbat): Explore Bethlehem Due to Shabbat we use our Saturday to visit Bethlehem's highlights on a tour with an experienced local guide. Our tour starts around noon, so we'll have time to walk around Jerusalem before we meet in the Old Town. On this tour, we get the chance to go inside the Church of the Nativity, better known as the birthplace of Jesus Christ. It is the oldest site continuously used as a place of worship in Christianity, and the basilica is the oldest church in Israel. We cover the most important Biblical sites, and our guide will tell us more about the history behind each destination. Please note, Bethlehem is controlled by the State of Palestine, so we will have to travel with a certified guide and undergo a border check, which - according to other travelers recent experiences - is fairly easy for tourists. Have your Israeli immigration card and passport at hand on that day! INCLUSIVE ✅ We explore Jerusalem in the morning ✅ Half-day tour with local guide to Bethlehem ✅ Tips for the guide and driver

Jerusalem

Day 4-5
Day 5 Sunday: Explore Jerusalem - evening transfer to Haifa Jerusalem is the largest city in Israel, but as the main interesting touristic sights are fairly close to each other, a full day is sufficient to visit both Old and New Jerusalem. It is probably the most interesting city in Israel, as the first settlements under the name ’ Urusalim’ dates back to 1000 BCE. Did you know that since the Palestine Authorities and the Israel Government claim Jerusalem as their capital, the status of Jerusalem as Israel's capital city has not been recognized by every state and some countries have their embassies in Tel Aviv? While the city saw many wars and riots in the past, no peace has been found yet. Until today, its international status is vague: the State of Palestine claims East Jerusalem as Palestinian territory, whereas Israel claims the whole city for itself. Therefore, we most likely will see many border police patrolling the streets of Old and New Jerusalem. We walk along the Western Wall, visit Temple Mount, walk the Via Dolorosa, which Jesus is said to have walked, and relax in marvelous and tranquil Gethsemane, the Mount of Olives. Whenever we want to stay longer and see more, we will do so according to our groups wishes. We will visit all the main attractions of Old and New Jerusalem and enjoy a coffee or more and a warm sweet Knafeh in a café. Please note, that due to Jerusalem's current political situation and in order to stay safe, we might adjust our plans according to the actual circumstances on site. In the late evening, we head north to the coastal town of Haifa, where we will be staying two nights. INCLUSIVE ✅ We explore Jerusalem at our own pace ✅ Evening bus Jerusalem - Haifa
8

Haifa

Day 5-7
Day 6 Monday: Sightseeing and beach day in Haifa Haifa is a vibrant coastal town by the Mediterranean Sea and its iconic symbol is the golden-domed Baha’i Shrine of the Bab, that abuts the international headquarters of the Baháʼí Faith. We begin our morning with a relaxed breakfast and decide together, whether we want or take the subway or cable car to the top of Mount Carmel. From the Upper Carmel, a beautiful panorama of Haifa bay opens up in front of us! On our way down to the city center, we will pass UNESCO World Heritage Site Baháʼí Gardens, where we can take part in a guided one-hour tour to learn about Baháʼí history, beliefs, and the significance of these Gardens. Our last big stop is the stunning Stella Maris Church. The ceiling of the hall is roofed and decorated with colourful paintings based on motifs from Old and New Testaments. We can spend the last evening enjoying the beach and warm Mediterranean Sea! INCLUSIVE ✅ 2 nights in a centrally located apartment (without breakfast) - see photos ✅ One-hour guided tour to the Baháʼí Gardens ✅ Tips for the guide ✅ Beach time in the afternoon
9

Haifa

Day 7
Day 7 Tuesday: Departure from Israel Today is our last tour day, and we will say goodbye to our newly found travel buddies! The train tickets to the Airport will be purchased individually and are included in the tour price. So you can either stay longer or we depart as a group to the airport. Hope to see you soon in Israel! 🙂 P.S.: If you like to extend your holiday, you can join me on a road trip to Jordan, which will take place between 16. and 25. October! In that case, we can take a flight together to Tel Aviv. Feel free to find out more on the Jordan Tour here: https://jmt.li/0WUHGq. Hope to meet you soon in Israel 🙂🕎! INCLUSIVE ✅ Train ticket Haifa - Tel Aviv Airport
