Guided trip
What's special?
special Tour to a secret local beach
special Crocodiles watching in Tárcoles Bridge
special View of 5 sunsets from different places
Join me on a very special tour watching sunsets from different points on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. We'll enjoy our days by spending a little time in the city, discovering the Poás Volcano and visiting an amazing coffee plantation, so bring some comfy shoes! What's the plan? Heading out of the city, the real trip begins. While we are on the road to Manuel Antonio, our first stop will be at Tárcoles Bridge, where we can see crocodiles in their natural environment. Additionally, we will visit a local fruit store for some fresh groceries. Arriving in Manuel Antonio we'll see the most marvelous sunsets from three different points. The first one will be from the famous Manuel Antonio beach, the second one from the harbor in Quepos called "Marina Pez Vela", where we'll also enjoy a refreshing house margarita, and the last one from the Nahomi Park in Quepos. Besides these awesome places, we'll go to a secret local spot called "Playa La Vaca" which means "The Cow Beach". Compared to other beaches, this one is almost deserted, it's perfect to relax and sunbathe. Leaving behind Manuel Antonio, we'll go to Uvita, to spend the day at the "Marino Ballena National Park", where we are going to be surrounded by pure nature. And in the afternoon we'll see the sunset from the beautiful Uvita beach. Continuing with our trip we'll head to Jaco, but before arriving we'll stop at the famous Jaco lookout, where we can take pictures of the breathtaking view, and of course, with the Jaco sign, which is made out of colorful letters and animals from Costa Rica for a fun memory. Also, we are going to have some free time there, and maybe enjoy the nightlife. For the last part of the trip, we'll return to San Jose. But don't be sad because we are going to enjoy one last meal together :)

About me: My name is Mónica, I'm 34, I'm from Spain, but I moved to Costa Rica 7 years ago and nowadays, I have dual citizenship. Like you, I came to Costa Rica as a tourist and I fell deeply in love with this country, so I came back to stay. I married the love of my life and I have six beloved rescue cats.

Accommodation: You will stay in shared rooms with the people from your group, but if you don't feel comfortable with this, please let me know, and I'll try to arrange something for an additional cost. In San José we are going to stay in a colonial style hotel, close to “Barrio Escalante”, which is a neighborhood surrounded by a lot of cool bars and restaurants to go out. In Manuel Antonio, we are going to stay in a hotel with a swimming pool, so we can cool down from the heat. In Uvita we may stay at a hostel with a shared common area where we can cook a meal together. In Jaco we are going to stay in a hotel close to the beach. Any questions? You can let me know in the Q&A section of the trip.

Trip Itinerary
1

Juan Santamaría International Airport

Day 1-2
Arriving at San Juan Santa Maria International airport, you are going to experience the first sights of Costa Rica. Then, we are going to check in at the hotel and rest for a couple of hours from the long flight. When everyone is ready, we’ll go out for our first dinner together in “Barrio Escalante”, the trendiest neighborhood in the capital with a lot of options to have a unique experience.
2

Poás Volcano

Day 2-3
After a good night's sleep, we are going to take our first tour to the Poás Volcano, which has one of the deepest craters of all the world’s volcanoes, and there is a trail that leads right up to it. There is a spectacular blue-green lake in the middle of one of the extinct craters that is an additional hike from the summit trail, but definitely worth the extra steps. We’ll also be visiting a Coffee Plantation, plus a butterfly garden. Later we are going to enjoy a typical casado at Freddos restaurant, which is known for its home-grown natural strawberries, from which they make drinks and delicious desserts.
3

Manuel Antonio

Day 3-6
While we are on the road to Manuel Antonio, our first stop will be at Tárcoles Bridge, where we can see crocodiles from a distance in their natural environment. Arriving in Manuel Antonio, we'll see the most marvellous sunsets from three different points. The first one will be from the famous Manuel Antonio beach, the second one from the harbor in Quepos called "Marina Pez Vela", where we'll also enjoy a refreshing house margarita at Double hook sports bar, and the last one from the Nahomi Park in Quepos. Besides these awesome places, we'll go to a secret local spot called "Playa La Vaca" which means "The Cow Beach". This beach is almost deserted and perfect to relax and sunbathe. So while we are staying in Manuel Antonio we are going to enjoy a great dinner with live music.
4

Uvita

Day 6-7
Leaving behind Manuel Antonio, we'll go to Uvita, to spend the day at the "Marino Ballena National Park", which is the first marine park ever created in Costa Rica and Central America. It is also the first protected area created exclusively for its marine resources.
5

Jaco

Day 7-8
Continuing with our trip we'll head to Jaco, but before arriving we'll stop at the famous Jaco lookout, where we can take pictures of the breathtaking view, and of course, with the Jaco sign, which is made out of colorful letters and animals from Costa Rica for a fun memory. Also, we are going to have some free time there, do some shopping and maybe enjoy the nightlife.
6

San José

Day 8-9
To make the most of the morning, we'll go to the beach for the last time. After spending a fun time at the beach, and for the last part of the trip, we'll return to San Jose, making a stop in our way to grab some lunch. After this, we’ll head to the hotel to have some rest and get ready for later for our last night together.
7

Juan Santamaría International Airport

Day 9
Time to say goodbye and drive to the airport, so you can all catch your flights back home. On the way, we'll share the last memories and the last laughs. And if you loved this trip as much as I did, I hope we'll see each other again for another adventure.
