Romanian Castles

Long weekend in a beautiful area of Transylvania, surrounded by nature and mountains. We will explore two cities: Sinaia and Busteni. The first city we'll visit has the best Romanian castles (way better than Dracula's castle in my opinion) - Peleș and Pelișor (the latter a hidden gem). The second city holds the Cantacuzino Castle, which you may know as Wednesday's Academy - this is where all the magic happened and where the first season of the show was filmed. Here we will also be going on a hike. It will take almost a full day and the scenery on the trails is breathtaking!

About me! I am a local Romanian girl who has been here many times before and who absolutely loves the hikes! I want to meet new people I can show around my beautiful country. I already love it and expect you will too!

Details about the accommodation: We will be staying in a simple and cozy apartment in Busteni. You will have your own private bedroom. There will be an equipped kitchen and a living room where we can hang out. And of course, the balcony and windows look out to the mountains and the Cantacuzino Castle. The apartment is located 5 minutes away from the train station and there are also restaurants and trails nearby. With Busteni being a small town, you can walk everywhere. Bușteni

Day 1-4

For the first day we will get to know each other, explore the town and have dinner together. There will be free time and we can even go on a short hike if you'd like. There are traditional restaurants with great food nearby that we can go to.

Sinaia

Day 4

Romania's National Day! We will be spending it in Sinaia visiting the most beautiful castles of the country: Peleș and Pelișor. We will have full guided tours in both castles. Optional: Stirbey Castle, the Casino of Sinaia.

Vf. Omu

Day 4

Hike to Omu Peak in Busteni. We can either hike all the way up - which will take a full day but it's worth it - or take a cable car to the top of the mountain and then walk to the peak for another 2-3 hours (one way). There is a traditional restaurant at the top where we can stop for food (if available).

Cantacuzino Castle

Day 4

Wednesday's Academy! Last day we will spend visiting the Cantacuzino castle. We will go inside with a guide, see the exhibition as well and then we will have free time to explore the rest of the Castle and its surroundings. We can spend time in its gardens taking it all in as the view is absolutely beautiful, we can have lunch at the outdoor fancy restaurant there, zip line through the trees or take photos.
