Hello everyone! My name is Kyra I am a Hungarian girl who lives in Switzerland. I am here to meet new people and make some unforgettable adventures and last but not least, I would like to show you my hometown! I would be very happy if you would join me on this trip, it's gonna be a mix of sightseeing, culture, relaxation and what I can certainly guarantee is fun! :) Did you know that Budapest is the second-largest city on the Danube River? If you haven't already, it is time to find out everything in Budapest. ABOUT THE TRIP: Budapest has so much to offer you, local as well as international cuisines, it's also home to numerous UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During our stay, we will walk a lot to see the main attractions such as Buda Castle, Hungarian Parliament, St. Stephen's Basilica, Heroes' Square, etc. but also we will use public transport too. We will also go for a 3 hours sightseeing with a TukTuk and for a 3 hours dinner cruise and folk show. MEETING POINT: You will need to arrive at Budapest International Airport and make your own way to our accommodation in Budapest. You can arrive anytime, but please be aware if you arrive before 15:00 (UTC +2) you may wait until the check-in is available. INCLUSIONS: - Accommodation (Hotel in shared rooms with breakfast) - Budapest dinner cruise and folk show (ca. 3 hours) - TukTuk sightseeing ( 3 hours) - Thermal Bath daily ticket - Inside Budapest, the public transport is fully covered - Trip Leader fee for planning and organizing - Health insurance for German & Austrian travelers EXCLUSIONS: - Meals and drinks - Transport to and from Budapest / airport to the city - Entrance to optional tourist attractions VISAS: Since Hungary is a member country of the Schengen Zone, all citizens of the rest of the EU/EEA member states can enter carrying only an identification document. On the other hand, if you are a non-EU/EEA national wishing to visit Hungary, you should carry the following documents, when you show up at the Hungarian port of entry: A valid passport or travel document. Valid for at least three more months beyond your planned date of exit from Schengen, and issued within the last 10 years. A visa – if you are subject to the Hungarian visa regime. Documents proving your purpose of entry. E.g. hotel reservation, invitation letter, invitation to attend a conference or other events, etc. INSURANCE: Travel insurance is included if you are a resident of Germany or Austria. For any other TripMates, you will need to purchase your own Travel Insurance, which also covers you for medical expenses should you need it while we are away. Budapest

Day 1-2
During our 5 days stay we will be in the middle of Budapest in a hotel. On our first day, we will meet on Saturday night in our rooms and discuss our plans for this trip and get to know each other a little bit better.

Budapest

Day 2-3
On Sunday we will explore the city with a TukTuk it’s going to take approximately 3 hours. We will get a comprehensive picture of the Hungarian history. In the second part, we will walk a little bit in the Castle District and explore the little romantic alleys. We are going to end our trip at Trinity Square where we going to eat lunch, and I am going to bring you to an amazing sky bar.

Day 3-4
On Monday we will continue exploring the city but more on the Pest side and have lunch in an amazing Hungarian restaurant, in the heart of Budapest. In the evening we're going to get on board and enjoy a dinner cruise and folk show (of course there is going to be a vegetarian option too).

Day 4-5
On our last day we are going to visit one of the largest bath complexes of Europe in Budapest the Széchenyi Thermal Bath (built in 1913), so don’t forget your swimsuit at home! :) I hope that you are going to join me and love Budapest as much as I do!
