Guided trip
Hello! I am George and I have lived in Greece, for the past 36 years. Like, since the day I was born. Many say that Greece is all about the islands and their beaches; others say Greece is all about museums and archaeological sites, and most people think Greece is both. Well, this is Bull! Ahem, nonsense! Greece is of course the above but is also about food, small things unknown to many towns with amazing history and beauty beyond words, good wine, and so many other things. But Above all, Greece is about bonding with each other. My country has a unique way to make you feel love for everyone! Of course, some ouzo or Tsipouro will surely help (if you don't know what I mean, you will learn firsthand. But anyway, here you will come closer to your TripMates like in a few places you will. Ah, I almost forgot; grumpy &, pessimistic travelers cannot be part of my trip. I want positive thinking and polite people, smiling people, who have respect towards each other and the place they are visiting, who have a love for life and themselves. We will sleep in central hotels in both Nafplio and Athens. So forget all you know about Greece, I will show you what you don't know. Firstly, we will explore every corner of the adorable town of Nafplio, a gem made of narrow cobbled streets, beautiful squares, unique mansions, and a sense of sun, freedom, and a gentle breeze that will make you feel weightless. For the first two days we will explore Nafplio and the castle, the famous “Palamidi” with its 999 steps (come on don't get all sweaty to me, it's easier than it sounds!) where the amazing view of the city and to Argolis gulf, it is so worth it. We will get lost in the beautiful small city, we will admire the sea and if someone is brave enough can swim! On the last day in Nafplio, after we will have our breakfast, we will leave early for a half-day tour. First stop; Mycenae. One of the greatest cities ever built, Mycenae will reveal to us its glorious past, with the assistance of our professional guide; the Lion’s Gate, the grave of Clytemnestra, the Grave of Atria, the museum, everything a walk to the past. After our guide to Mycenae ends we take our private transportation and drive to Nemea a city famous for its wines and wineries. Of course, we will visit the best among these. We will taste four different varieties of wine and learn everything about the procedure of making wine out of grapes. Of course, we will also admire the vineyards by tasting our wines. The next day we will leave Nafplio in the morning, and we will go to our final destination; the capital of Greece and the birthplace of western civilization. Athens, a city of 5 million people, has many things to show to us. We will walk to Plaka, we will eat local flavors at non-touristic places, and of course, we will visit the Acropolis and the Parthenon. It is one of the things that you should visit, to be able to understand its greatness. Our guide will help us achieve just that. We will visit the National Archaeological museum, a place where there are treasures of unique value and beauty, and we will drink Greek coffee in the courtyard of the museum. A hidden gem, the museum of the city of Athens, unknown to many, it will be known to us through our visit. We will have a walk where we will see Kalimarmaro, a stadium made entirely of marble. We will admire the national garden, find ourselves in the Monastiraki, we will walk to Anafiotika, an area where it reminds us of a Greek island, and much more. If you want to have the time of your life, join me. If you like to make friends, meet interesting people, laugh, taste unique flavors, admire amazing views, and learn about the history of the world, join me. Life is too short to be miserable, and we only live once. It will be my honor to welcome you to my country and show you some of its beauties. 📍 Stops 1. Hotel in Nafplio with breakfast 2.
