Hello, fellow travelers! My name is Marcel Vincenti and I want to guide you on an unforgettable journey through the most original country in South America! 😀 Let´s explore the heart of the Andes on a journey that will take us close to the sky! With its high altitude landscapes, Bolivia is a hidden gem. In 10 days, expect to live a true immersion in one of the most original nation in the Americas 🏔 Your flight will arrive in La Paz, one of the highest cities in the world and where we'll find great restaurants, a historic center full of colonial buildings and a landscape surrounded by snowy mountains. Pay attention to the people chatting in the streets: the ancestral indigenous Aymara language is still spoken here 😵 After exploring La Paz, we will take a 4-hour drive to the legendary Titicaca, the highest commercially navigable lake in the world (at over 3,800m altitude) and a sacred place for the Incas. We'll spend the night in an island in the middle of the lake. The next stop will be the Uyuni Salt Flat (Salar de Uyuni, in Spanish): to get there from La Paz, we'll take a beautiful 8-hour drive through the surreal Bolivian Altiplano. Uyuni Salt Flat is the largest salt flat in the world, measuring around 12,000 km². We will explore its extraterrestrial landscapes in a 4x4 vehicle, visit colourful lakes full of flamingos, admire volcanos, walk beside geysers and, at night, sleep in a hotel made of salt! I can't wait to show you beautiful Bolivia!
ABOUT ME! 🐱👤 I was raised in Brazil, but my paternal family is from Bolivia. Since I was a child, I've visited this incredible Andean nation countless times – and I've never stopped being in love with it. It was because of Bolivia that I became a traveler: I lived in the country as a teenager and, by living with its ancestral indigenous culture and extraterrestrial landscapes, I realized that the world was a beautiful, diverse place that deserved to be explored. Today, my mission is to present the fantastic beauty of Bolivia to travelers from all over the world. IMPORTANT INFORMATION 🤓 It's important to know that Bolivia is a country for those who love adventure and who don't mind going out of their comfort zone: the altitude can affect the body, land trips can be long and, in many places, the tourism infrastructure is not yet fully developed. But all the effort will be compensated by the country's fantastic landscapes and rich culture.
WHERE WILL WE SLEEP 😴 On our trip, we'll spend the nights in private rooms with bathrooms in hotels or bed&breakfasts in La Paz, Lake Titicaca and Uyuni Salt Flat. They will be accommodations with great value, without luxury, but with the necessary comfort for you 😉 And all of them will have breakfast included. The accommodation prices listed for this journey is for double rooms. If you are by yourself, it´s possible to stay in single room, paying a little bit more. ABOUT EXTRA COSTS As you can see in the journey description, lunch and dinner are not included in the trip price. But Bolivia is a very cheap country for Europeans and North Americans. It's possible to enjoy a good meal in La Paz for about US$ 10. And it is worth remembering that lunch and dinner are included in the 3-day tour that we will take in the Salar de Uyuni (and whose price is included in the trip) 😉
