Trip Itinerary
1

Bucharest

Day 1-2
Morning pick-up from Bucharest or from OTP airport.
2

Peles Castle

Day 2
Away we go to Transylvania, the first stop is Peles Castle in Sinaia. We park the car close to the castle and I’ll assist you inside, operating the tickets faster and guiding you at the most exquisite castle from Romania.
3

Bran Castle

Day 2
Next stop of the day it will be at the famous so-called Dracula's Castle or Bran Castle, as well where I'll be your tour guide explaining not just the history and legends about this place but I'll do also a brief lecture about the real Vlad the Impaler. Very important to keep in mind is that Bran Castle is the most visited site from Romania and most of the times there are long queues but with me as your tour leader and guide we will skip the lines and get inside much faster.
4

Râșnov Citadel

Day 2
After Bran Castle, I'll take you to experience Romanian cuisine at La Promenada Restaurant. After lunch, we’ll drive for 5 minutes and get out of the car right in front of Rasnov Fortress. For the rest of the hour as we walk thought the fortress ruins I’ll try to bring a bit of life to the surroundings of this stronghold with my stories and transport you in that time.
5

Casa Râșnoveană

Day 2-3
Accommodation for this it will be at Casa Râșnoveana B&B Guesthouse in Rasnov for all 2 nights.
6

Sighișoara

Day 3
After breakfast we leave, preferably at 9:00 am and the journey begins. For the next 2 hours you will be passing from the comfort of my car thorough Saxon villages or driving close to fortified churches, fortresses, and passing through a forest. Yet we reach the one of a kind Sighisoara walled old town, the only inhabited fortress form Romania. Also, this well-preserved town is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
7

The Fortified Church of Biertan

Day 3
For the day I have prepared also a visit to the majestic fortified church from Biertan. One of the oldest Saxon villages from Transylvania, since 1224, Biertan was the headquarters of the Lutheran Church in Transylvania for 300 years. Just imagine what kind of a Gothic church it is if it was the Bishop’s Church.
8

Sibiu

Day 3
An hour later after we leave Biertan we arrive in Sibiu. Is nothing more delicious than lunch in Sibiu downtown, the European Gastronomic Capital in 2019. Enjoin the food in peace first and sightseeing after. Visit the Lutheran Evangelic Cathedral, the Orthodox Cathedral, and the surroundings of this fortified city.
9

Casa Râșnoveană

Day 3-4
2 hours after we left Sibiu we arrive in Râșnov at Casa Râșnoveana Guesthouse for the night.
10

Libearty Bear Sanctuary Zarnesti

Day 4
Departure at 9:00 am after breakfast, we go to the oak wood in Zarnesti where the Libearty Bear Sanctuary is holding 100 bears, and for the next hour, you will be, of course behind the face, close to many brown bears, some deer and a couple of wolfs.
11

Fortified Church Prejmer

Day 4
Next stop Prejmer Fortified Church. Is the best medieval fortified church from a rural side in Europe, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Here we’ll see in the Gothic church the oldest triptych altar from Transylvania, dating since 1450. This place is like traveling back in time. A walk on the defense corridor will make you understand why this is the best one in the matter of defense. Also, we’ll find a Saxon ethnographic museum that is very interesting to visit.
12

Brașov

Day 4
We saw the bears, we visit an UNESCO sight and for the rest of the afternoon we’ll visit the sights from Brasov downtown, like the Black Church, the Council Square, take the cable car up to Mt. Tampa at about 400 m above the city for the jaw-dropper view. We will have Lunch in Brasov that afternoon.
13

Bucharest

Day 4
Whenever we think that we are good to go we can start towards Bucharest. It will be an evening drop-off to a hotel in Bucharest or to airport OTP.
