What's special?
special Travel + Transformation + Awesome value
special Bespoke hike, sensational rewards
special Women connecting for a Greater Life
+ 13 days, with 11 days of hiking + Up to 15 hours of transformational activities + Jaw-dropping highlights galore + For women who want a Greater Life + Unique experience You’ll love Slovenia with its spellbinding natural beauty, superb cuisine, and fantastic people. Underrated, and under-visited, with a smorgasbord of satisfying adventures, it’s an endearing, tiny green paradise of a country with a big heart. This is a transformational hike I'm coordinating as a test run for my transformational hiking business. So the intention is to test the route, some of the transformational activities, and other logistics. I'd love for the people joining me to act as volunteer participants in the activities. You'll reap the benefit of helping you to live a greater life with a greater purpose and direction. THE HIKE We start near Lake Bled and finish at Lake Bohinj, hitting several of the major highlights Slovenia has to offer. It's a bespoke tour that'll fill you with awe and provide a fantastic challenge as we traverse both the Karawank mountains and the Julian Alps (yep, that's Triglav National Park) using a combination of terrific trails. The hike itself is moderate to challenging (but totally worth it :) ) thru-hike, with no rest days. There are easy days though. The challenges include: ° mountain passes and traversing slopes for long periods. ° surfaces can be rough and the terrain steep. ° paths are generally defined but may be tricky at times (to both find & negotiate). To get the most out of this adventure, you need to hike regularly and be fit enough to hike in the mountains with a loaded pack of up to 10kg. Good physical condition and worn-in shoes are essential. THE TRANSFORMATION PROGRAM Includes a wide variety of tasks, activities, and challenges to help you grow and experience the magic of your deeper intelligence! It's a highly participatory trip, and as a thru-hike including the transformational activities, it doesn't allow for a flexible itinerary. That means it's only suitable for those women who are seeking more, want to grow and move, and are willing to get involved and face challenges. But I'll make sure we have time for fun, laughter, and relaxation along the way. This is a first-time trial run for this trip, so please forgive the hiccups and pack a good sense of humor. If in the end, you feel you benefitted or if you have some value to add, I'd totally love your direct feedback and reviews. The trip price is calculated for 3 participants. The price reduces as the number of participants increases.

ABOUT ME I guess you could say I've done a lot of hiking and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it !!! It's such an exhilarating, healing, and transformative experience to walk long distances. So now I've combined my great love and extensive experience of hiking, with my passion and professional and personal experience in facilitating / coaching and personal and spiritual development, to help others realize their Greater Life. I really look forward to a transformational hiking journey with you and I'll do my best to help make it extraordinary and rewarding for you. Reach out if you're interested but perhaps a little intimidated or if you have any questions and want to know more. In case you love the idea of joining a transformational hike but you're wanting something a little easier, I'm offering similar test run trips in other countries. Coming up in Join My Trip is the Sole Change hike in Portugal.

ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION The accommodation ranges from very comfortable to simplistic. It's also shared, either just with members of the group or with other travelers. Often, the sleeping arrangements are side by side with individual linen. You'll need to carry proper bed linen (not a sleeping bag or liner), or you'll be required to pay extra for it in the mountain huts (~€6). Trip Itinerary

Lake Bled

Day 1-2
Give yourself an extra day or 2 before we meet up, for your own sightseeing and activities around Lake Bled. Highly recommended is the lake itself and the Vintgar Gorge. Day 1: Check-in at the accommodation in Bled is after 2 pm. At 4 pm we'll have our meet and greet, and commence priming activities for our transformational hike. A group dinner is included in the trip price.

Blejska koča, Lipanca

Day 2-3
Day 2: Lake Bled – Planina Lipanca 17 km / 5.5 hrs / moderate / 600m – 1819m We'll wake by 7 am and commence our daily priming activities. We'll make our way to the start of the hike and be off around 9:30 am. We'll soon enter the 2 km long and up to 40m deep, Pokljuka Gorge, the largest dry-fossil gorge in Slovenia. From there, we start our gradual climb towards the pretty mountain meadow of Klek and finally to our cottage accommodation at the lookout mountain of Lipanca.

Koča na Doliču pod Triglavom

Day 3-4
Day 3: Lipanca – Doliču 14.7 km / 6 hrs / moderate - challenging / 1646m – 2174m Today's route passes through the saddle and scenic viewpoint of Studor Preval and then slides below 2 impressive mountain peaks over 2000m, before reaching the resting spot at the mountain hut Velem Polju. Reenergized, we begin our final climb extending over 4.5 km to our evening lodging at Koča na Doliču pod Triglavom.

Day 4-5
Day 4: Doliču - Mojstrana 21.2 km / 8 hrs / easy / 2154m - 650m I'm sure you'll love this day. It's mostly downhill and passes through the gorgeous Vrata Valley with its stunning views and the extraordinary Peričnik Falls. A local friend tells me that these upper and lower cascading falls are her favourite in the whole of Slovenia. They're truly fabulous and you can walk behind the falls where the rock is eroded, for something even more special and refreshing.

Kranjska Gora

Day 5-6
Day 5: Mojstrana – Kranjska Gora (via Karawanks) 24.3 km / 9 hrs / challenging / 650m – 2102m OK, this is a big day with a gentle start to get you warmed up. We'll head up the Belca Valley and then climb the ridge until we reach the Jepca saddle bordering Austria. From there we traverse the Karawanks with incredibly rewarding views for your efforts. We finish with suitably comfortable accommodation in a fabulous resort town with delicious food and ice cream, so you can relax and replenish for the days ahead.

Day 6-7
Day 6: Kranjska Gora – Trenta 28 km / 8.75 hrs / challenging / 620m – 1686m I'd love to say this is an easier day than the last, but in fact, we have the highest mountain pass in the Julian Alps to climb over. The reward though is that we now enter the magical and enchanting Soča Valley with one extraordinary highlight after another throughout the day.

Day 7-8
Day 7: Trenta – Bovec 25 km / 7 hrs / easy – moderate / 450m – 886m Today we walk the Soča Trail which winds the narrow Trenta Valley and captivates you with the mesmerizing turquoise waters of the Soča River. With its suspension footbridges, you can expect extremely picturesque river crossings. Probably the most confronting is over the Kršovec gorge. By day's end, we reach Bovec, a buzzing hub for outdoor enthusiasts.

Day 8-9
Day 8: Bovec – Drežnica 26 km / 8.5 hrs / moderate-challenging / 312m – 553m Another delightful day along the banks of the Soca River, the part where it's most picturesque and wild. We visit romantic and majestic waterfalls in the region and the scenery is spectacular. The trail is definitely a challenge in some parts though with a lot of ups and downs and some scrambling.

Day 9-10
Day 9: Drežnica - Tolmin 22.1 km / 6.5 hrs / moderate / 1237m - 157m An easier day. The highlights of this stage are the wonderful mountain villages and sunny alpine meadows. The Kuhinja Alm is an absolutely worthwhile resting point, with delicious strudel, and the laid-back, friendly town of Tolmin to finish.

Koča na planini Razor, Mountain cottage and restaurant

Day 10-11
Day 10: Tolmin - Planina Razor 11.5 km / 6 hrs / moderate / 181m - 1315m Upon departing Tolmin we stroll through the magnificent Gorges with moss-covered walls, deep ravines, and turquoise pools of sublime beauty until we depart with the option of checking out the Devil's Bridge 60m above the river. We then walk to a small settlement high in the hills and eventually finish at a beautiful tranquil spot filled with alpine flowers at the foot of the Vogel mountain.

Zasavska koča na Prehodavcih

Day 11-12
Day 11: Planina Razor - Seven Triglav Lakes 21.4 km / 8 hrs / challenging / 1303m - 2067m We cross the Julian Alps near the beautiful mountain peak of Vrh nad Škrbino on our way to the fairytale Valley of 7 Lakes. We have a couple of good climbs to tackle on our way with a very conveniently located mountain hut to rest and recharge in between. You'll be so impressed with the scenery you'll almost forget the effort to get there.

Stara Fužina

Day 12-13
Day 12 - Seven Lakes - Lake Bohinj 17.7 km / 8 hrs / moderate - challenging / 2271m - 654m Our spectacular last day of hiking takes us from the highland, bare rock elevations along a ridge line, and then down to the Pri Jezeru alpine meadow and lake. From there we head to Vogar for brilliant views of the natural wonder of Lake Bohinj before finishing our day at the pretty village of Stara Fužina. We'll go out for an end-of-hike celebratory dinner together at one of the fabulous local restaurants.

Lake Bohinj

Day 13
Day 13: A well-earned surprise activity in the morning. You'll depart in the afternoon feeling sensational, connected, and with incredible new friends. Spend a casual moment now to explore the beautiful lake, have a swim, and simply relax in this majestic location.
