Trip Itinerary

Bad Schandau
Day 1
We meet at Bad Schandau Hbf at 9:45am to have a quick round of introductions and then start our hike in Saxon Switzerland national park. Saxon Switzerland national park houses the impressive Schrammstein rocks and we would be having a picnic lunch (make sure to bring some food with you, as there are no shops in the national park) around 12:30pm in a place with views of the rock formation.
2
Schmilka
Day 1
After hiking around 13 kms, we finish-up in the Saxon Switzerland’s most beautiful village – Schmilka where we can grab some food and drinks to reminisce about the day’s great nature and community experience. We then take the ferry across the river Elbe to the train station Schmilka-Hirschmühle to catch the train for Schöna and from there a short ferry ride to the Czech town of Hrensko on the other side of the Elbe.
3
Hřensko
Day 1-2
On reaching Hrensko (gateway to Bohemian Switzerland National Park) we head to our accommodation to complete all check in formalities, freshen up and then head for dinner to a restaurant that I have already made a booking for before.
4
Pravčická Archway
Day 2
We hike in Bohemian Switzerland national park that also includes multiple boat rides to explore the Kamenice Gorges and finishing up at the impressive Pravcika Gate (largest natural rock gate in Europe) where we have a well deserved drink and bite to eat, before catching the back to Hrensko.
5
Schöna
Day 2
Once back at Hrensko, we head for our accommodation to pick up our bags and then catch the short ferry across the Elbe to Schona where we say our good bye's and catch the train to head back home carrying all the cherished memories with us.
