Bari

Day 1-3
Bari, the capital of the region, is the only big town of the area. With trendier inclinations, in contrast to the narrow, cobbled streets of the old town, Bari is nowaday one of the main italian new destinations.

Alberobello

Day 3-5
We’ll leave Bari and we’ll stop in Polignano a Mare (just 30 min driving) to admire its old town on a cliff overhanging on the sea. Alberobello (Unesco World Heritage) is a lovely village known worldwide for its typical “Trulli” dwellings. In the area, the so called “Valle d’Itria”, we’ll also visit other villages: Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca. And we’ll visit typical farmhouses, wineries and olive groves, to taste our deliciopus extra virgin olive oil and our red wines.

Lecce

Day 5-7
Lecce, with its elegant baroque style, will amaze you. On the other day, we’ll explore the southern coast of Lecce, from Otranto (on the Adriatic sea) to Gallipoli (on the Jonian sea) We’ll enjoy beaches and bays on a turquoise sea.

Matera

Day 7-9
Matera (Unesco World Heritage) is a place unique in the world thanks to its “Sassi” dwellings. Often cited as one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the world, Matera is now one of the main italian destinations. We’ll also do a little trek in the “Parco delle Chiese Rupestri”, on the other side of the canyon for the best view of Matera and its “Sassi” In the outskirts, we’ll visit Castelmezzano “ in the scenic landscape of the Dolomiti Lucane Ntl Park. And Craco, a fascinating “ghost town”

Bari

Day 9-10
We’ll go back to Bari. On the way, we’ll stop in Altamura to taste a typical “focaccia” bread in an ancient bakery (XV century)
