Guided trip
Hey there! My name is Maxime and I am a 21 years old travel addict from Bordeaux, France. I have basically been living out of a suitcase for the last 2 years exploring the world while studying Tourism. I already visited Krakow 2 times last year with a few friends and absolutely loved this city! Did you know that Kraków old city center was the first ever UNESCO world heritage site in the world ? About the trip: What better than walking around one of the most beautiful central European cities during the warm days of the summer. Kraków has so much to offer, from stunning architecture, very hospitable people, tasty food as well as a vibrant nightlife. It is also one of the cheapest big European cities! We will be staying in a social hostel located in the heart of Kraków old city center (Florianska Street) a few minutes walking distance from the main sites. I have stayed here during my 2 trips to the city and truly had the best experience - one of my all-time favorite hostels! No need to worry about food, we will get a tasty breakfast as well as dinner buffet every night for FREE. Not only that, but also one hour of FREE unlimited beer every night. If this doesn’t seem like a deal :) During our stay we will mostly walk around town to see the main sites such as the Market Square, Wawel Castle, St Florian’s gate but also more hidden gems off the beaten track. We will also go on two trips outside the city. First we will go to Auschwitz and Birkenau, former concentration and extermination camps, now the most important Holocaust museum and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will also go to the Wieliczka Salt Mines, 700 years old and as deep as the Eiffel Tower. An absolute must-see! I am looking for 5 to 7 adventurous TripMates to join me in Kraków! What's included ✅? - Accommodation for 4 nights in a shared hostel dorm - 2 meals a day ( buffet breakfast & dinner) - FREE beer hour every night at the hostel - Entrance ticket & transport to/from Auschwitz and Birkenau with a guide - Entrance ticket & transport to/ from Wieliczka Salt Mines with a guide - 1 PUB CRAWL ticket (includes 1 hour of unlimited drinks, free entrance to the clubs, free welcome shots) - Trip Leader fee for planning and organizing - Health insurance for German & Austrian travelers What's not included ❌? - Additional meals and drinks - Transport to and from Krakow / airport to city - Public transport tickets within the city - Entrance to optional tourist attractions Please acknowledge that our group size must have a minimum of three people. If we do not find three people by July 2nd, TripMates will have to pay a bit more on arrival or get a refund If you need any additional info on how to get there or anything else, feel free to text me! Also, to make things easier, we will create a WhatsApp group to discuss each other's preferences before the trip :)

Kraków

Day 1-5
During the 4 nights we will stay at a hostel in the old city center of Kraków and we will be able to see mostly everything walking. We will meet on Wednesday night at the hostel, get to know each other and discuss together what our preferences are for this trip :) On Thursday we will be out exploring the city and take our time to stroll around the city. These are a few spots we will check out: - Market Square - Wawel Castle - St Florian’s gate - Kazimierz, the Jewish Quarter And much more!!

Memorial and Museum Auschwitz II-Birkenau

Day 5
On Friday, we will be leaving in the morning to go on a guided tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau, former concentration and extermination camps, now the most important Holocaust museum and also a UNESCO world heritage site. We will come back in the afternoon and then everyone will have some free time around the city. In the evening, we will go on a pub crawl organized by the hostel. Best moment to meet other fellow travelers and check the vibrant nightlife of Kraków!

Wieliczka Salt Mine

Day 5
After a night out, Saturday morning will probably be a chill one. In the start of the afternoon we will go to Wieliczka to visit the famous Salt Mine. This 700 years old mine located half an hour from Kraków city center is a must see! Almost everything is made of salt and down as the mine, as deep as the Eiffel tower you can find a church made of salt! When we come back in the evening, we can go for some drinks together and try the delicious craft beers. Obviously, for those who want, the pub crawl will also go again on Saturday night - this is really up to everyone!

Kraków

Day 5
Sunday will unfortunately be our last day together, depending on everyone's travel plans, we can still hang out in the city. There is always something to do, see or food to crave for in Kraków, we will definitely not be bored :)
