Guided trip
👋 Ciao! I’m Nadia, and I was born in Castellammare di Stabia. I’m 28 and I’m a licensed tour leader. My soul is divided into my two biggest passions: Eastern Asian Cultures (I took a degree in Eastern Asian Languages) and Campania Region, especially the Lattari Mountains 🏔️ area where I grew up. I love cooking and I aim to let you taste the authentic food that local people appreciate (me included😋). We’ll go headlong into the “KM0 philosophy” cuisine and the traditional concept of “Osteria” 🍅. We’ll see Gragnano artisans making the most famous pasta in their laboratory and dairy masters making mozzarella right in front of you! And you’ll taste everything, of course!🍝 Don’t worry, I didn't forget about the wine🍷 . Among many winemakers, I chose a passionate family who is faithful to tradition and respectful of the local grapes variety. What’s the ice on the cake? “Pizza a metro”, which is completely different from the Naples version but unique and unmissable. 🍕 The scenery will be breathtaking starting from the accommodation. We’ll go around small towns (“Borghi”) on the Lattari Mountains, avoiding the most chaotic hotspots of the Sorrento Peninsula. Are you ready to be far from the madding crowd? 🪷 💰What’s included in the price: - Accommodation (the price differs from a double shared room to a single room. If you choose a Single room, the price will be 36 euros more) - Breakfast - Tourist taxes - Transportation with my own car - Pick up and drop off from/to Naples airport/station or from/to Sorrento or from/to Salerno (Our accommodation is more or less at the same distance from Naples, Sorrento and Salerno, so let me know which one works best for you) - Two lunches: one at “Osteria Torre Ferano” and one at "Osteria Antico Borgo (wine and soft drinks included for both) - Guided visit to the wine cellar and wine tasting - Guided visit to the pasta factory and pasta museum - Guided visit to the dairy factory, demonstration of the mozzarella and limoncello production and dairy products tasting (wine and water included) - Full tank of gas - Highway and parking cost ✖️What’s NOT included: - Flights, trains, every means of transport to reach our meeting points - Pizza at ”Pizza a metro” (you’ll choose what you want and we'll pay separately or split the price with Splitwise) - Other meals (you can also dine at the hotel) - Visit to the rustic Roman farmhouse “Villa Regina” in the Pompeii suburb where archaeologists found traces of olive oil and wine production (Optional, 2 € per person) - Visit to the Roman elite seaside villas of “Stabiae” and the related museum (Optional, 6€ per person) *Please note that the price will increase if the minimum amount of TripMates is not found See you in Italy!

5/5
The trip was expertly arranged by Nadia to show us the authentic unspoilt side of Naples and surrounding areas rather than being overly touristy. This gave us a secret peek into the real Italy! The hotel and staff were superb throughout our stay. The tours were informative and perosnalised for us which was wonderful! The whole trip was awesome! Thank you Nadia and Nicola for being world class hosts and for making our trip so great! See you in England and Dublin very soon! xx

Trip Itinerary
1

Castellammare di Stabia

Day 1
I’ll pick you up and I’ll drive you to the hotel 🏠 , in Castellammare di Stabia to check in and leave your luggage. Inhabited since the VIII century B.C., this old town became a very famous vacation spot for the Roman elite because of the perfect mixture of mountains, seaside, baths with 28 medical water springs and even a “healing air”. Up on the hills, there is the family-run hotel where we’ll enjoy the breathtaking view of the Gulf of Naples for four mornings (We won't change accommodation during the 3 nights) .🌅
2

Vico Equense

Day 1
For lunch, we’ll reach our first foodie stop: “Osteria Torre Ferano” in the heart of the Lattari Mountains. Camillo, the owner and chef, has an irresistible daily pleasure: going grocery shopping.🤭 He tries to stick to the rules of the “KM0 philosophy” by getting ingredients only from local farmers, breeders and fishermen.🥦 He only offers seasonal menus based on Neapolitan traditional cuisine. His motto is “no stress, no rush, just relax” and relish every bite of his delicacies.🤤 Back to Castellammare, you can choose to take a look at the rustic roman farmhouse “Villa Regina” 🏛 in the Pompeii suburb where archaeologists found traces of olive oil and wine production or visit the roman elite seaside Villas of “Stabiae” 🌋 and the related museum (Both Optional 🤓 )
3

Gragnano

Day 1-2
On the second day, there’s one of the highlights of the tour: the pasta factory in Gragnano. 🍝 Since dried pasta production dates back to the 13th century, a private guide will tell us about its historical and cultural value. Moreover, we’ll have the chance to study artisans at work! 💪 We’ll see every stage of pasta production, from the creation of the dough to the drying process and packaging. But what will strike you most, will be the private pasta museum of the family Moccia with more than 500 ancient tools collected since 1700! 😵 Not far from there, at the end of the so-called “Mills Valley”, we’ll have pasta tasting and lunch at “Osteria Antico Borgo”. They’ll offer simple, genuine food and homemade wine in a cozy and warm atmosphere 🍄
4

Piano di Sorrento

Day 2
Later in the afternoon, after a quick rest at the hotel, It'll be time to drink! 🍷 We’ll go to Piano di Sorrento, for our wine tasting. Giulia and her husband will guide us through their small 30 years old wine cellar to show us every process of wine-making. After that, we’ll enjoy 5 wines and side food under lemon trees in their fabulous garden. Forget about expensive wines, what they offer is just love for their land and respect for local grapes 💜 🍇 .

Piano di Sorrento

Day 2-3
On the third day, we’ll lose among the curves of the Lattari Mountains 🏔 to reach the farm and dairy factory.🧀 Sara, a very passionate guide, will lead us through the demonstration of the “Mozzarella Fior di Latte” production, the most renowned and loved mozzarella by local people. After that, we’ll go around to see their vineyards, olive trees, fruit trees, lemon trees and farm animals🐮 But Sara will reveal every secret about their wine and “limoncello” (lemon liquor) production as well! 🍋 Speaking of which, she’ll show us how to make a perfect limoncello and that will be our first toast there. 🥂 After that, we’ll taste fresh mozzarella, cold cuts, traditional cheese, wine and other KM0 products.😋

Vico Equense

Day 3
For our last dinner together I’ve thought of something special: “pizza a metro”, which is the Sorrento Peninsula version of the Neapolitan pizza. 🍕 We’ll gonna taste it just where it was invented in 1930 by Luigi Dell’Amura. “Pizza a metro” is literally a pizza that can be up to 2 meters long. 🤩 Designed to serve as many people as possible at the same time at the same table, it suddenly became extra popular. Because of the ingredients from Lattari Mountains, It’s now a speciality that you can’t help but try! 💔On the 4th day, after breakfast, we'll check out and I’ll drop you off where you’ll choose. It’s time to say “arrivederci” which I hope It won’t be a goodbye! 😊
