Guided trip
Hello there, fellow travelers! We are Thomas, Leon and Kathi. Three Germans living in South Africa for some months to escape the cold north and explore an amazing country. We are staying for one month outside of Cape Town to do remote working and in our last week we are looking forward to exploring South Africa's Kruger Park, a Jungle in Kwazulu-Natal and the Indian Ocean. šŸ“ What's our plan? Our Trip will start in Johannesburg, where we are going to rent an SUV for the whole trip. We are going to arrive in Joburg quite early in the morning. On the first day we are going from Johannesburg airport to the Marloth Park bordering the Kruger National Park. This will be around a 6-hour drive. We are going to stay in a lodge in the Marloth Park for 3 nights. On the 30 of January we are planning to do a guided safari tour and on the 31 of January we are planning a tour with our SUV. On first of February we are going around Eswatini to the Indian Ocean. We are planning to stay in the small town of St. Lucia for 4 nights. St Lucia was proclaimed as a world heritage site by Unesco, St Lucia is South Africa's very first world heritage site and for good reason. The abundance of wildlife and natural beauty is incredible. To this very day, Hippo's can still be witnessed wandering down the streets at night in search of grass. We are looking forward to doing some hikes outside of Santa Lucia in some nature reserves and having some beach days at the Indian Ocean. On 5 of February, we are going to the Durban airport to catch our flights back! šŸ’° The Price just includes the following: - car + gas - accommodation - a safari tour through the Kruger Park Looking forward to traveling with you!

Trip Itinerary
1

O.R. Tambo International Airport

Day 1
We are arriving at JNB around 8 am. In the whole price, the flights are not included. You have to organize your own flight to JNB. There are multiple international or national flights a day. So it should be quite easy to find a cheap one which is early in the morning. At the airport we are going to rent an SUV which we are using for the whole trip.
2

Marloth Park

Day 1-4
Kruger National Park is a South African National Park and one of the largest game reserves in Africa. We are renting a Villa in the Marloth Park, which borders the Kurger National Park in the Mpumalanga province. During the first day we're planning to make a Safari tour with an open car. I have been last year in the same region and now some local guide with whom we could go on a tour. On the second day, we are planning to go by our SUV into the Kruger Park. One of our destinations during this trip is Skukuza. Skukuza is a small village inside the Kruger Park with amazing Restaurants from which you can see wildlife.
3

Saint Lucia

Day 4-7
St Lucia is a village in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa. The small town is mainly a hub for the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. The town provides a lot of nature and amazing beaches. A lot of wildlife you can already see inside the town. To the beach, it is just a 15-minute walk. Since it is the Indian Ocean, the water is warm and the current is not that strong. In St Lucia you can see during the day a lot of wild animals. During the night you have to watch out for hippos since they are going into the town.
4

King Shaka International Airport

Day 7
Durban is our place to return the car. We are not spending much time here. Just returning the car and catching our flights back to Cape Town. We are trying to reach King Shaka International Airport quite early in the morning.
