Hello beautiful people! Pleased to meet you. My name is Eric :) Welcome to Southern California where the sun shines and waves keep on pumping. Our journey begins in Los Angeles where we will meet at our Airbnb. We will share a meal and spend a night together before taking off for one of America's most renowned (they're all pretty amazing) national parks, Joshua Tree. Here we will be exploring the natural beauty of the park, known for its signature trees, during the day and relaxing around a bonfire gazing at the stars at night. It will be a full moon during this time so visibility will be great and you may even catch a couple of shooting stars while you are staring into the night sky (I have and it's amazing). After two nights in the desert, we will head to the waves in Ocean Beach, San Diego where we will be staying at one of the top-rated hostels in the United States. Here we'll have a chance to surf, relax, grab some local tacos, and meet travelers from all across the world. I am a local to Los Angeles and have a car. I will be driving us to and from stops. Gas and maintenance fees are included in your price.

About me! A fun-loving and adventure-seeking local to Southern California, I was born and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles where I graduated from film school in 2018. Meeting new people, seeing new places, and making connections are some of the biggest joys of my life :)

Details about the accommodation: We will be staying at Airbnb near Ramona Gardens in Los Angeles. There are three bedrooms so two people will be sharing a room unless someone is willing to use the air mattress that is available in the living room. (3.5 bath) During the Joshua Tree leg, we will be staying at an Airbnb approximately 15-20 minutes outside of the National Park in the Yucca Valley. The house will have four bedrooms and three bathrooms. We will be sharing a dorm room at San Diego Hostel which will include four bunks in one room with a shared bathroom. Los Angeles

Day 1-2

On the first day, we will be meeting at our Los Angeles Airbnb location where we have plenty of time to get acquainted, share a meal, play some games, and get a good night's sleep before we head out to Joshua Tree the next day.

Joshua Tree National Park

Day 2-4

Joshua Tree is renowned for its desert beauty and spectacular star gazing opportunities which we will be experiencing during a new moon when visibility is high. 🌔 We will arrive at our Airbnb where we will get settled before heading into the park to explore some of the sights. Sunrises and sunsets are particularly beautiful in some areas of the park which we can arrange for if anyone is interested. 🌅 🌄 At night we will be hanging around our bonfire while staring into the night sky with a chance of seeing some shooting stars 💫

Ocean Beach

Day 4-6

Known for its vibrant and bohemian neighborhood, Ocean Beach is home to the quintessential Southern California surf vibe with laid-back crowds and excellent waves 🌊🏄‍♂️ We will be staying together in a dorm at one of the highest-rated hostels in the United States where we will have a chance to meet travelers from all over the world and explore the surrounding beach community. 🌎 Fun fact: Ocean Beach is home to about 100 wild parrots which are nonnative transplants mostly from Mexico. The most common species are the red-masked and blue-crowned parakeets which you are likely to see and hear while roaming the neighborhood 🦜 The hostel is located only a few blocks from the beach so we will have plenty of opportunities and flexibility to freely roam and check out local shops, restaurants, and more.

Los Angeles

Day 6

We will be driving up the California coast to Los Angles to finish the last leg of our journey. Once in LA we will share one last meal and say our goodbyes, swap memories, and commemorate what is sure to be a trip worth remembering.
