Glénan Islands
Day 2-3
After a hearty and healthy breakfast we cast off the lines and set sail! Since we are always dependent on the wind and weather and to find the best paragliding spots, the sailing route can change a little and must be adapted to the weather conditions. The first stop we will make on Île de Groix. With a length of 7 km and a width of 3 km, Île de Groix is the second largest island in Brittany and is located 14 km off the coast of Lorient. Once an important center for tuna fishing, Île de Groix is now known for its beautiful and unusual beaches and its important concentration of minerals. We drop anchor for lunch, dip our toes in the sand and who feels like going snorkeling? Later in the afternoon, we set sail again and make our way to the Caribbean ... well, almost! The seven Glénan Islands lie in the middle of the Bay of Biscay off the coast of Concarneau and are known as the Caribbean of Brittany or "Breton Tahiti". The archipelago, with its white beaches and azure waters, is the antithesis of the otherwise rugged rocky landscape of northern France. Some people say that the Glénan Islands are the most beautiful islands in Europe. Accessible only in summer, they are known for sailing and diving and for their unique native blooms. In the late evening we raise our anchor again and sail through the night, one of the most magical experiences of sailing, when it is quiet and peaceful and you can only see the stars while listening to the sounds of the boat moving through the elements. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ After a rich and healthy breakfast we untie the bow lines and hoist the sails! Ushant
Day 4-5
Who wants to go surfing? Let's go surfing together in the morning when the waves are good. But in Camaret-Sur-Mer the waves are often great! On the Île d'Ouessant, 30 km off the coast of Le Conquet, is the westernmost point of France, Pointe de Pern. The island is known for its lighthouses and treacherous seafaring heritage, but especially for its native sheep. After Île d'Ouessant, there's not much more to come, and then America right away ...
