What's special?
special We will see the whole island!
Hi! I have been so excited about New Zealand for a while and would like to share the trip with fellow adventure lovers! The best time to visit New Zealand is November to March. This is my second long trip to the island. I will be there earlier and make sure that the trip will happen smoothly. About me: I'm Nasiba, 31, from Germany and Uzbekistan. I have been travelling a lot: mainly Causcasus Regions, Iran, and Central Asia. (Shared trips to one of these regions are yet to come!) So one can say, I am quite travelled. My style is to be sustainable while travelling, so we will be taking shared/public transportation as much as possible (although NZ is notorious for not having much of it). The cost of the trip includes all the accommodation, plus some of the transport and some of the meals. I am not charging any trip orga. fees here. All the accounting will be shared in our group chat. Here are some of the experiences we will explore together *in this version of the shared trip: - Taking the North Explorer Train across! - Exploring Wellington and around - Visiting lots of marvelous beaches, and go/try surfing, diving, visiting other cities etc. - Exploring Auckland and around. Towards the end of the trip, I will head over to the South Island. You are welcome to join, but it will be a different trip posted here! I have another option for exploring the North Island in a more environmentally friendly way, check it out on my trips page!

About me: I am a solo female traveller who loves to explore "off the beaten" paths and dive into exploring local ecosystems. I have been travelling since 2015 and some of my favourite solo trips have been to Iran, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Israel, and Morocco.

The trip is of course, modifiable. There will be different options posted as different trips, check them out in my profile :) This version is mostly water sports oriented. Moreover, you can later join me in for the South Island trip! Send me a message after booking or ask any questions in the Q&A. Best, Nasiba

The trip with Nasiba was amazing. She is very friendly, confident and a lot of fun. We've seen some great places and she also took us off the main track to explore the local culture. She is open for suggestions and made sure everybody enjoyed the trip. On top of it She is smart and knows a lot of stuff in different fields. She's definitely a great choice is you looking for something more than just plain sightseeing.

Trip Itinerary
1

Auckland

Day 1-3
Let's meet in Auckland, go out for some food, get over the jetlag and do more planning. The accommodation will be an Airbnb apartment with 3 separate beds, in two bedrooms. If you want to have a separate bedroom, this can be arranged, just let me know.
2

Cape Reinga

Day 3-4
Day 2. Let's visit the ultimate northern New Zealand, where two oceans meet and the road ends! The road will be long (6 hours) but hopefully rewarding one as we will witness some of the most unique ecosystems in the world, because it has been thoroughly protected to this day: we won't be allowed even to eat around this place. We'll have to drive to the camping spot for this (1hour). On the way, we will make stops to see the 90 mile beach.
3

Piha

Day 4-6
Let's explore Piha more by staying overnight. The road to Piha will be another 6-7hours, so we might as well rest here more. Last time I was there, it was out-of-world like place (but with very limited drinking water resources). We can rent a bungalow at the hills. Sleep through well, go hiking and continue our journey!
4

Raglan

Day 6-7
Raglan is considered the best surfing spots of the island. The drive is also not going to be as long(3 hours). If everyone would be interested, we can take beginner surfing classes here and stay 2 nights. If not, it would be one night and we can save a night for further city exploration.
5

New Plymouth

Day 7-8
So, my friend from New Zealand says, there is not much to see in New Plymouth: but this looks like a nice stop to take if we want a pause. It will be 4 hours drive from Raglan to here. Else, let's be flexible and see if we can find more scenic place to camp!
6

Wellington

Day 8-10
After some nature action and another drive for 5 hours, finally we'll arrive at Wellington! We will be recovering from our journey, and exploring the city: Wellington is a foody place apparently, so let's explore what it can offer. The last day of the trip we can have a small farewell party.
