Retreat Back To Nature: Experience Vanlife in Normandy!

Guided trip
We go explore Normandy in my converted camper! With little to no plans, we go day-to-day, experiencing the van life with a good dose of spontaneity. We can decide where we go and what we do by the day -according to how we feel. We share meals, make fires, explore forests and the coast, have good talks, and basically aim to get grounded and refreshed. I have 6 years of experience living a humble life like this. I like a good balance between technology and the earth, so my vehicle isn’t fully automated. It is a comfortable van, built to be like a cozy little cabin with a wood stove, but doesn’t have a toilet or shower. These things are done outside, and I have been doing that for many years so it really isn’t a problem! I like to be around open-hearted people who are interested in alternative ways of living, people who gravitate to nature, are humble, and especially those who are interested in spirituality or philosophy. Either way, I am open to most, am very easy-going, and have no problem meeting new people or sharing small spaces! I also like the flow to be very natural and non-pretentious. So come as informal as you like! If you are very social that can work for me as I can talk for hours non-stop, however, if you come for a retreat and some peace, this can also work as I am very good with a relaxed and inwardly flow. I also very much welcome people who are facing some struggles and just need a good support person to be around. This is one of my strengths. I can help you find some peace, and if you wish to communicate difficulties you may be surprised how helpful I can be, given my own life experience. The ones that know me, would say I am very enlightening to be around. I simply offer love, strength, and wisdom. Either way, let’s aim for a positive experience and share the magic that vanlife can offer. The vehicle: - 7m Mercedes Sprinter 2011 - Has 2 sleeping areas (you get a double bed with a dividing curtain) - Wood burner (no diesel heater) - Music system - Enough electricity for all your devices What is included in the price? - Accommodation in the van for 2 TripMates - We share the costs of the food we share together (no meat in the van please) - Fuel is included - Firewood included Anyone new to this lifestyle will encounter a lot of issues, but with my experience which has been very wild, we can make the most of it and evade a lot of troubles. If you have any questions or would like flexible dates/ shorter or longer stay, then please let me know in the Q&A section. Either way, a video call before confirming anything would be needed. Thanks!

Normandy

Day 1-6
We will meet somewhere convenient for us both. I’m currently based at Bagnoles de l’Orne. It may be possible to collect you, but we will have to discuss that on a video call. For the first meeting, we will likely meet somewhere public, so we can first feel comfortable and relaxed before heading out in the van.

Day 6
An example of what we could do is to head to the coast, explore the coastal area and circle back over the period of the trip. There are many great places to visit along the coast, and usually traveling the coast in a camper is the most scenic and fun. I find there is just a different sense of time at the coast. Depending on where we meet, and what we feel like doing, we will plan a route according to that. There doesn’t need to be any specific plan which will be time-consuming. Having lived like this for many years, the best way to go about it is to pick a general direction and try to be spontaneous.
