Ponta Delgada
Day 1-4
Our first accommodation (pictures in the description) is a nice and elegant apartment with individual matrimonial beds, 2 individual beds and a sofa bed, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, living room and is located close to the Airport and the archipelago capital, Ponta Delgada, where the street art is one of the pleasant surprises you’ll find around the city. But you have much more things to visit, such as the garden Jardim António Borges, a true botanical garden, nice restaurants, iconic churchs and squares... From our position in Ponta Delgada, we will be able to reach (by car, which is included in the price) all the spots located in the western part of the island, such as: - Thermal beach of Ponta Ferraira - All the astonishing lakes across this area: Lagoa das Empadadas, lagoa Egua y Rasa, Lagoa Do Canario, Lagoa do Santiago etc. - Miradouro vista do Rei and much more!

Miradouro da Boca do Inferno
Day 4
The Miradouro da Boca do Inferno is one of, if not the most, famous views in the Azores. The crater lakes of Sete Cidades can be viewed from above from several different viewpoints, but it’s hard to beat Boca do Inferno. Not to mention, it doesn’t require much effort to reach the overlook; in fact, walking from the road to the overlook takes about 15 minutes, and it is an extremely simple trail to follow.
3
Lagoa do Fogo
Day 4
Trek around the Lagoa do Fogo Crater Lake, one of the best crater lakes on Sao Miguel. It’s a crater lake that translates to “Lake of Fire” and is a protected natural reserve. Here you can hike around the area and enjoy a variety of plant species, birds and stunning views of the lake from miradouros (viewpoints).
4
Furnas
Day 4
Site of volcanic activity for more than 100,000 years, the village of Furnas is a thermal hotbed, home to geysers, hot springs, beautiful botanical garden and nature parks. You can even try the volcanic steam–powered ovens (called cozidos)!
5
Caldeiras
Day 4
Caldeira Velha is a nature preserve with hot springs, a waterfall and lush vegetation. You can swim in one of the three man-made thermal pools and take a dip in the natural waterfall pool. The waters are warm, and the surrounding nature is lovely.
6
Nordeste
Day 4-6
Nordeste on São Miguel island is a beautiful, isolated location that is perfect for travelers looking for something a bit different on their next trip. Our house is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the viewpoints, pedestrian trails and green spaces, including Pico da Vara, the highest point on the island of São Miguel (1103 m), allowing a magnificent view around you and stunning landscape. What to do in Noroeste: - Explore the town of Nordeste and its typical arquitecture. - Visit the Farol do Arnel, a significant piece of history as it was the first lighthouse to be built not only in São Miguel but in all the Azores. - Ponta da Sossega viewpoint and gardens. The terrain and landscape of São Miguel and the Nordeste area mean there are many amazing viewpoints with great views over the scenery in the area.
