Hi, fellow travelers! 🌞 My name is Angéline, and I am excited to be organizing a volunteer trip to Split, Croatia. As a 26-year-old French citizen living in Switzerland, I have a passion for exploring new places and making a difference in the world. This trip is perfect for those who are looking for an unforgettable travel experience with a purpose. This trip is the opportunity to explore the stunning city of Split while also volunteering at a local animal shelter. The shelter plays a vital role in protecting and caring for abandoned animals, and as volunteers, we will be able to support their mission and improve the animals' living conditions. Plus, we'll get to spend time with like-minded animal lovers and make a difference in their lives. 🐶🐱 Our volunteering tasks will include providing companionship to the animals, assisting with bathing and brushing the dogs, taking photos and videos for the shelter's website and social media, and helping to care for the shelter's green spaces. During our stay, we will be accommodated in a centrally located hostel in Split. You'll be staying in a comfortable dorm room and have access to all the amenities you need. We'll provide shuttle transportation to and from the airport, so you don't have to worry about getting to the hostel. Split is an amazing destination that I visited in 2021 and I fell in love with. It’s located on Croatia's stunning coastline and boasts a rich history dating back to the Roman Empire. With its bustling waterfront, historic ruins, and picturesque islands, Split has plenty to offer for those seeking adventure and excitement. In our free time, we can participate in many activities such as hiking, rafting, ziplining, and sea kayaking. And, of course, we can also take time to relax at the beach, explore the city or visit some of the islands close by. 🚣🌊🌄 What’s INCLUDED? 🏠 Accommodation in a dorm room in our hostel located in the city center of Split 🎫 Shuttle ticket from Split Airport to the city center and back 🐶 Volunteering experience at the animal shelter, including a welcome day 🚗 Private transport to the shelter and back to the city center 🥞 Breakfast is included for your entire stay 🗺️ All the planning and logistics, so you can just sit back and enjoy your trip What’s NOT included? - International and domestic travel expenses. The shuttle ticket is only included if you arrive in Split. If you arrive in Zagreb or Dubrovnik, let me know and I can help you find a solution. - Lunches and dinners. Our hostel is conveniently located in the city center, close to grocery shops, bars, and restaurants. - Fees for any additional activities or excursions.
