Trekking Amalfi Coast: Path of the Gods hike

Hosted by

Gaetano

Guided trip
Hiking the stunning Path of the Gods takes you along the Amalfi Coast where you can admire one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world. During the guided hike, we meet a local shepherd who will share with us a small selection of locally sourced produce and a glass of red wine. We start the hike from the hamlet of Bomerano, in the town of Agerola, on top of the Amalfi Coast. The first part of the hike offers outstanding views of Praiano, Positano, Li Galli islets and the island of Capri. Along the trail, elm and oak trees provide shade with hints of myrtle and juniper in the air. The path continues crossing wild precipices full of caves and small vineyards where per’ e palummo grapes are harvested. You’ll see the Grotta Biscotto, an old shepherd’s shelter, built into the rock and inhabited since Prehistoric times. This is a loop: within 3 to 4 hours you will get back to Bomerano and transfer back to your accommodation. In case you wish to visit Positano, we finish the hike in the small village of Nocelle (3 hours) and here your tour ends. Time to enjoy a well-deserved rest before choosing one of two options: walk down 1,500 steps and walk along the coastal road to Positano, or take a local bus to Positano and then go back to your accommodation on your own
