Guided trip
Hi everyone! Who is with me to reach the Gamchempo peak, a 6378 metres himalayan summit? I am looking for about 5 alpinism lovers, keen to discover some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. And, needless to say, the highest ones πŸ”β˜€οΈ About me: My name is Nicola, and I am a 28-year-old traveller and alpinism passionate from the Dolomites region, in the north of Italy. I lived in many countries, but Nepal is the place that shaped me the mostπŸ‡³πŸ‡΅ A couple of years ago, because of an internship for the university, I taught to ski to about 12 Nepali guides at Annapurna Base Camp. That was probably the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. For this reason, I really want to meet Nepali people again, hike with them, further explore their culture, and hopefully, help them develop forms of sustainable tourism, able to provide economical and social stability πŸ•‰οΈ As regards my language skills, in addition to English and Italian, I am also fluent in Spanish. Also, I love playing guitar, so musicians are welcome! About the costsπŸ’°: the expedition is organized by Federica and her husband Rabindra, two of the most brilliant and polite person I ever had the pleasure to meet. The final price is all inclusive (except for the flight) and includes accommodations, equipment, guides, food, activities, and a small organizational fee. You don't have to think of anything, just be aware of the good impact you can have on local communities, and be ready for the great summit! So, are you ready for Himalayan peaks? Send me a message and let's start to get to know each other a bit. Tell me a bit about yourself and let me know what your expectations are πŸ“¬

Trip Itinerary
1

Kathmandu

Day 1-4
The capital city appears so fascinating thanks to the many temples, the narrow streets, the food... and the monkeys! In the central neighborhood Thamel there are plenty of shops, pubs, and live concerts, while the Pashupatinath Temple, classified as World Heritage Site in 1979, always makes me wonder about life...
2

Langtang National Park

Day 4-11
From Kathmandu, we head for the Langtang, an amazing himalayan region located about 50 kilometres north of the capital, in the Bagmati province. When we start the trekking we cross yellow-dyed mustard fields in the Melamchi valley and the Sindhupalchowk District, where I got to know the most friendly, helpful, and happy people I have ever met . Finally, we reach the Gangchempo Base Camp, at 4.920 meters, where few days of acclimatization are required and deserved!
3

Gangchenpo

Day 11-15
Gangchempo Base Camp is where the preparation for the great peak takes place. During this time, we need to check the equipment and to brush up on the route. Also, we hike another close 5.900 meters peak, to keep us in shape. However, even more important, is to enjoy the view, relax, have a beer and great time together!
4

Gangchenpo

Day 15-16
The big day has come. On the 16th day, we climb up the 6.378 meters of Gangchenpo. It is gonna be a 1.500 meters in altitude walk, and up there is gonna be rewarding, I swear. From there you can see all the Langtang region and the crown made of the surrounding Himalayan peaks will be stuck in your head for a long time.
5

Melamchi

Day 16-21
Coming back from the expedition, we have some time to dedicate to ourselves, the local culture and the environment, chilling in the homestays scattered around the valley. The Melamchi valley present an incredible variety of natural sightseeing, such as the Dragon Cave, and cute villages, such as the homonymous town of Melamchi.
6

Lalitpur

Day 21-23
We are finally back to Kathmandu. The last two days we still have time to visit some astonishing attractions, such as the close city of Patan, nowadays called Lalitpur, and its Durbar Square, an amazing set of historical temples.
