At best flying to Puerto Escondido from Mexico D.C. (1.5 hrs versus 14+ hrs by bus). One of the best surfer spots in central America.

Exploring the world heritage town of Oaxaca and tasting world-class Mezcal.

Day 9-11
Exploring Merida, and one of the best (and less crowdy) Maya sites Uxmal and Palenque.

Staying at laid back island Holbox for a couple of night. Diving in the Caribbean
