Welcome to Santa Marta, a Magic town, is it a trip to discover some villages around the Sierra Nevada and learn about Arhuaco and Kogi community. This trip is in Spanish language! You will meet in Town of Santa Marta there visit the city to know each other start to visit the city of Santa Marta the main attraction of the city like the Quinta of San Pedro. The Burial of Simon Bolivar, il museo dell 'oro di Santa Marta, and why not boat a tour from Playa La Baya around the little Ilands in front of the old Town we could also organize a visit to Taganga. You will have an experience about the cultivation of Cacao visit a center where indigenous-produced chocolate tablets and sell products and how they work the product of cacao. On this trip we will visit two villages of the Arhuaco community there shared talking with Mamos the wise man of the community who has teachings from their cosmogony if you want possible to have treatment of Armonizacion something like sanctions..probably we could try with Mamo available to visit you. We visit Katansama holy place with a school for children. The waterfall of Valencia and sleep in Burritaca. Going on a trekking trip in the ''Quebrada de el Sol'' inside the Resguardo of Aruhaco community, without permission, not possible to go there like other villages in Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta. Visit Palomino and enjoy the town, the beach and tubing...and a tour to the sanctuary of the Lo Flamingos. After we could visit a Kogi village at Mingueo share time with the Kogi Mamos sleep in his house shared wise thought about their culture. Or visit them in the day and come back to the hotel. For the whole trip, we will travel together with an Arhuaco Guide and a Young Mamo.

About me: I'm Marzio from Italy is about 12 years I'm traveling in South America, welcome to the Sierra if you want to join the trip and learn about the indigenous community and the Life of the local people Your guide Will be Lorena and her daughter they don't speak English, so the trip will be in Spanish language.

Accommodation: We have Some solution about accommodation in Santa Marta: hotel or private house where you could share time all together the group. In Palomino also could be Hotel or private House full commodity depends on what you're looking for sleep. We have possibility to sleep with the family of the mamá's farm, but they're available only hammocks in a typical kogi house here not a lot of comfort like toilette ect. Santa Marta

Day 1-2
There we will meet in the Hotel. We go to share a good Fish meal in a typical Fish Restaurant in the Town, the best Guajira Marisco or fish. Start the program to visit the sea and the beach with a tour boat, and visit the tomb of Simon Bolivar.

Buritaca

Day 2-3
Our hotel will be directly on the beach, we could have a tour on a boat of the rivers to see the nature and landscape there. The beach of Buritaca is sacred for the locals and is a point of conjuncture for the sea and the river that join together. In this place, it is not possible to take a bath in the traditional way, you must get permission from nature, and from the ancestors, as the Linea Negra is a sacred land.

Quebrada Valencia

Day 3
It is possible to sleep and visit the holy place of the waterfall of Valencia, here is a Kogi Resguardo where we will sleep in a farmhouse inside nature in a little Finca. Get to know the typical product of the Sierra, look at the life of a campesino and enjoy nature. Nearby the house, there are ruins of a very old Kogi archeological site of the Kogi settlement of thousands of years ago.

PERICO AGUAO

Day 3
We will visit an important village in the Arhuaco community! Here the Mamo could give us a teaching about the cosmogony of the Arhuaco people and can share the culture with us. We will also visit a field of Cacao, to understand this part of the culture and how chocolate is made the traditional way.

Palomino

Day 3-6
Have a great experience Tubing on the river Palomino and enjoy the beach and the party night in Palomini life. Visit the Sanctuary Los Flamingo - There are daily tours to a great and beautiful salt laguna where there are wonderful rose Flamingos and big birds. Let's have lunch in a fish restaurant Langostino Langista or typical local fish.

Mingueo

Day 6-7
Stay with a family of Kogi Mamas and possibly have another teaching in another place of the Sierra Nevada of Sana Marta. Visit a village of Kogi Community. Who wants, could sleep in the little farm of the Mamas in hammocks.
