I am looking for four open minded women who would like to travel with me! This trip is for women who love independant travel, but still would like to have the comfort and security of a group. We will travel by car so we do not have to rely on public transport and are able to get anywhere in the area hassle-free. The hotels we stay in are decent and centrally located and I booked shared twin or double rooms with ensuite bathroom for you ladies. You want to see beautiful parts of south-western Germany with a local? You are new in Germany and don't know too many people yet? You would like to travel around easily, but don't want to drive yourself? Please join my trip! I'm sure we will have a lot of fun together - but it's not a party hard trip ;-) There is also a bit of walking involved, so if you are not a good walker and still want to join, please contact me and we will figure out what we can do. We will be exploring the area, taste good food and drinks, see beautiful landscapes and interesting ancient buildings, do some activities like a small hike and of course get to know each other. If possible, I can adapt our daily plans to what the group would like to do. Each day, there are some activities suggested where I am with you, but I wpuld like to keep it flexible for you and give you the opportunity to fit in some activities without the group if you prefer to be on your own for some time. I am happy to assist you with other plans for the day and you can re-join the group later on. To stay flexible I am driving myself. Due to limited space in the trunk of the car, please don't bring a big suitcase. We will find a place to store your suitcase during the trip if necessary. Working as an architect, but my passion is planning trips and travelling. I am living at the northern tip of the black forest in Southern Germany together with my husband and my two teenage daughters, our dog and our cat. During the last 30 years, I have been organizing trips for my family and friends, be it to close destinations like Italy, France, The Netherland or to countries overseas like Japan, Cuba, Australia, Thailand, Malaysia, just to name a few. I love organizing trips so I am off to plan a trip in the area I have been living for a long time: I am looking forward to showing you around!
We stay in decent hotels in central location, at least ***, shared double/ twin room with ensuite bathroom. One of the hotels is beautiful with a very good spa and also rich breakfast, the other two places are nice too. Trip Itinerary

Baden-Baden
Day 1-2
Day 1 : We will start our trip in Baden-Baden, which is a beautiful and posh ancient spa town. I can pick you up at the train station if you arrive before 10 a.m. If you arrive the day before, I can help you with making a reservation at the hotel for one more night before we will start the trip. We will meet at the hotel to drop off the baggage and you will get to know your travel mates for the next days over a coffee. The morning, we will take a walk through the city towards Lichtentaler Allee where we will spend the rest of the morning in Burda Museum, which is not only a world famous museum, but also an impressive building. Exhibitions change, but are always good. If you are not interested, you can easily spend the morning in the ceter of town, it is beautiful. In the afternoon, we could either go to the thermal baths and enjoy beeing lazy or take the mountain tram to the top of Merkur mountain and walk back down (of course the mountain tram goes back down too if you prefer that. Now it’s time to settle down at the hotel and get ready for dinner. I will offer to go together to a restaurant that serves “Flammkuchen”, a traditional and very yummy dish from the neighboring French region of “Alsace”, but if you have your own plans for dinner, I`m fine with that too. After dinner, you can explore the famous Baden-Baden casino if you want. We spend the night in Baden-Baden.

Durbach
Day 2-3
Day 2: After breakfast in Baden-Baden, you can do some shopping in Baden-Baden or tals a walk to the "Trinkhalle" where you can taste the healing water the town is famous for. Around 11 a.m. we start our journey to the famous Whine-town of Durbach, where we will do a wine-tasting with a picknick in the middle of the wineyards. We will try to arrive early at our hotel, because it has a very good spa and we will enjoy that for the evening. If you want to make a booking for a massage or a facial, please tell me, I can arrange that for you. We can have dinner at the hotel or elsewhere together (not included).

Heidelberg
Day 3-5
Day 3: breakfast is great at the hotel, so we will spend enough time there to fill up for the adventures of the day. If you are an early bird, you can even go for a swim before breakfast. After breakfast we are going wild! We will head to the Zipline in Wolfach where you can fly over the Black Forest – if you dare. After that we will head to the little black forest town of Triberg, where you can taste the world famous Black Forest Cake or buy a cocoo clock. Then it's time to leave the Black Forest, because we have quite a bit to drive (about 2.5 hours) to or next destination, the beautifula dn world famous town of Heidelberg. We check in at the hotel, the night is free to do whatever you like. I can make you some suggestions though. Day 4: After breakfast at the hotel, we take the mountain tram to the famous castle, where we can make a guided tour end enjoy the beautiful scenery. In the afternoon, stroll around the city, go shopping or take a break at the Neckarwiesen. You could also board a little cruise on the river Neckar and see Heidelberg from the water. For dinner, we will go to a biergarten together. Day 5: After one last breakfast together, it’s time to say goodbye. I can drop you off at Heidelberg train station, or if you wish to stay longer in the area I can assist you with planning that.
