Trip Itinerary

Reykjavík
Day 1-2
Die Reise beginnt in Reykjavík, von wo aus es nach einem kurzen kennen lernen auch direkt los geht zur Ringstraße. Da bisher außer dem Reisezeitraum nichts sicher ist, sind in dem folgenden Ablauf ein paar mögliche Ziele angegeben. Gerne können wir die Details zusammen ausarbeiten wobei wir auch spontan unterwegs sein können mit einem groben Plan, was oft auch sehr schön ist da man unerwartet auch mal auf unbekannten Pfaden weniger Bekannte Orte entdeckt :) Hoffentlich können wir auch Polarlichter und andere schöne Naturphänomene sehen ;) The journey begins in Reykjavík, from where, after a short acquaintance, it goes directly to the ring road. Since nothing is certain except the travel period, the following schedule shows some possible destinations. We can work out the details together and we can also be on the road spontaneously with a rough plan, which is often very nice because you can unexpectedly discover less known places on unknown paths :) hopefully we get to see some polar lights and other beautiful natural phenomenons ;)

Seljalandsfoss
Day 2-3
Wunderschöne Wasserfälle die auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert sind. Auf unserem Weg befinden sich einige Wasserfälle, wobei jeder einzelne etwas spezielles ist und auf seine ganz eigene Art und Weise besonders. Beautiful waterfalls that are definitely worth a visit. On our way there are several waterfalls, each one is special in its own way.

Skógafoss
Day 3
Überall ist es auch möglich kürzere oder längere Wanderungen durchzuführen wobei man dabei auch den Wasserfällen ganz Nahe kommen kann. Everywhere it is also possible to do shorter or longer hikes and you can get very close to the waterfalls.

Dyrhólaey
Day 3
Schwarze Sandstrände und beeindruckende Felsformationen laden zum verweilen ein :) Black sand beaches and impressive rock formations invite you to stay :)

Reynisfjara
Day 3
Beeindruckende Szenerie die sich perfekt zum fotografieren eignet mit imposanten Basaltsäulen. Impressive scenery that is perfect for photography with impressive basalt columns.

Vík í Mýrdal
Day 3-4
Urige Kleinstadt mit Blick auf Reynisdrangar, einer Felsformation vor einem der schönsten Strände Islands. A quaint little town overlooking Reynisdrangar, a rock formation in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in Iceland.

Fjaðrárgljúfur
Day 4-5
Eine Schlucht, bei der die Landschaft wie aus einem Märchen wirkt. A gorge where the landscape looks like something out of a fairy tale.

Skaftafell-Nationalpark
Day 5
Ein Gletscher in direkter Nähe und der Wasserfall laden zu einer schönen Wanderung ein. A glacier in direct proximity and the waterfall invite to a beautiful hike.

Hofskirkja
Day 5
Malerische Kirche die es so vermutlich nur in Island zu sehen gibt. Picturesque church that can probably only be seen in Iceland.

Jökulsárlón
Day 5
Eislagune in der große Eisblöcke eines Gletschers abbrechen und eine Bootsfahrt möglich ist. Ice lagoon in which large ice blocks of a glacier break off and a boat trip is possible.

Diamond Beach
Day 5-6
In der Nähe der Gletscherlagune befindet sich der Diamond Beach an dem die kleinen Eisbrocken im Licht aussehen wie kleine Diamanten. Near the glacier lagoon there is the Diamond Beach where the small ice chunks look like little diamonds in the light.

Höfn
Day 6-7
Kleine Fischerstadt die für den Hummerfang bekannt ist. Small fishing village that is famous for lobsters.

Hengifoss
Day 7-8
Zu dem Wasserfall ist eine zwei Stündige Wanderung nötig jedoch wird man mit dem Anblick des Wasserfalls belohnt, der von Vulkangestein umgeben ist. A two-hour hike to the waterfall is necessary but you will be rewarded with the sight of the waterfall surrounded by volcanic rock.

Seyðisfjörður
Day 8-9
Beschauliche Kleinstadt im Osten Islands. Tranquil small town in the east of Iceland.

Mývatn
Day 9-10
Atemberaubender See im Norden von Island, mit üppiger Vegetation, reicher Vogelwelt in einer überwältigenden Umgebung, voller heißer Quellen und Höhlen. Die Möglichkeit Polarlichter zu sehen ist hier mitunter am Besten. Breathtaking lake in the north of Iceland, with lush vegetation, rich birdlife in a stunning environment, full of hot springs and caves. The opportunity to see the northern lights is sometimes best here.

Grjótagjá
Day 10
Eine heiße Quelle inmitten einer Lavahöhle in der unter anderem ein Teil von Game of Thrones gedreht wurde. A hot spring in the middle of a lava cave in which among other things a part of Game of Thrones was shot.

Dettifoss
Day 10
Einer der kraftvollsten Wasserfälle Europas, auf dem Weg dorthin ist unter anderem ein Besuch in der blauen Lagune möglich. One of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe, on the way there you can visit the blue lagoon.

Ásbyrgi
Day 10-11
Ein üppiges grünes Tal, das wie ein Hufeisen geformt ist. A lush green valley shaped like a horseshoe.

Húsavík
Day 11
Eine malerische Stadt die als bester Ausgangsort Islands gilt um Wale zu beobachten. A picturesque town that is considered the best place in Iceland for whale watching.

Goðafoss
Day 11
Der Wasserfall der Götter liegt auf dem Weg nach Akureyri. The waterfall of the gods is on the way to Akureyri.

Akureyri
Day 11
Die Hauptstadt des Nordens liegt an einem wunderschönen Fjord und bietet ein interessantes Nachtleben und Hlíðarfjall, das beste Skigebiet des Landes. The capital of the north is situated by a beautiful fjord and offers an interesting nightlife and Hlíðarfjall, the best ski resort in the country.

Vestfirðir
Day 11-12
Die Westfjorde Island zählen zu den abgelegensten Gebieten Island sind aufgrund der wunderschönen Landschaft allemal einen Abstecher wert. The Westfjords of Iceland are among the most remote areas of Iceland and are always worth a detour because of the beautiful landscape.

Snæfellsnes
Day 12-13
Diese Halbinsel wird oft als Miniatur-Island bezeichnet, da hier einige der verschiedenen Landschaftsformen Islands zu sehen sind. This peninsula is often referred to as Miniature Iceland, as some of the different landscapes of Iceland can be seen here.

Der größte von drei Vulkankratern in dieser Umgebung in den auch Wanderungen möglich sind. The largest of the three volcanic craters in this area where hiking is also possible.

Die kräftigste Heißwasserquelle Europas bietet ebenfalls unvergessliche Eindrücke. The most powerful hot water spring in Europe also offers unforgettable impressions.

Hraunfossar
Day 13-14
Der ungewöhnliche Wasserfall Hraunfossar entspringt einem Lavafeld und gehört mit Sicherheit zu den schönsten Wasserfällen der Insel. The unusual waterfall Hraunfossar rises from a lava field and is certainly one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the island.

Borgarnes
Day 14-15
Hübsche Kleinstadt die auf dem Weg zurück auf Reykjavik ein Muss ist. Nice small town which is a must on the way back to Reykjavik.

Esja
Day 15
Der letzte Stop auf dem Weg nach Reykjavik könnte Esja sein, der Berg der Reykjavik überragt. Eine Wanderung dort hin soll nur circa zwei Stunden dauern. The last stop on the way to Reykjavik could be Esja, the mountain overlooking Reykjavik. A hike there should only take about two hours.

Reykjavík
Day 15-16
Leider ist die Reise schon wieder vorbei, vielleicht ist noch eine kleine Abschlussparty in der Hauptstadt Islands möglich. :) Unfortunately the journey is already over, maybe a small final party in the capital of Iceland is still possible. :)
