Details about the accommodation: 1 x Night The first and night of the trip will be spent in Padang city at a beautiful boutique hotel with a swimming pool and relaxation area. You can enjoy the sunset over the Indian Ocean while sipping a fresh coconut at the beach. 1 x Night in a hotel in Bukit Tinggi town. The hotel is located in the old quarter of the city amongst historical Dutch heritage buildings and a short walk away from the Japanese caves, Dutch heritage clock tower and specular Sianok canyon. Day 1-2
Day 1 - Upon your arrival at the airport, a pickup car will be arranged to transfer you comfortably to your hotel accommodation. After checking in to your hotel and having a rest to recover from your long flight, we will have dinner where you will be able to sample the culinary delights of West Sumatra. This dinner will provide an opportunity for you to get to know your fellow trip mates while enjoying a stunning sunset view of the Indian Ocean.

Bukittinggi
Day 2-4
After a leisurely breakfast, our journey unfolds with a picturesque 2-hour car ride weaving through traditional villages, rice fields, and cascading waterfalls to the hill town of Bukit Tinggi,. We will stop on the way for lunch, introducing you to the flavors of renowned Minangkabau cuisine. Upon checking into the hotel, take a moment to recharge before immersing in an afternoon of history. Explore the Japanese WW2 tunnels that whisper tales of the past. Then, wander the streets and encounter the Jam Gadang, an iconic Dutch heritage clock tower. This itinerary seamlessly blends cultural immersion, natural beauty, and historical discovery, promising a captivating glimpse into the diverse tapestry of Indonesia. Finishing a perfect day with an evening meal together.

Padang Panjang City
Day 4-5
In the morning, our exploration of Bukit Tinggi continues. Following a hearty breakfast, we'll venture to the awe-inspiring Sianok Canyon, where nature's grandeur unveils itself in dramatic rock formations and lush vistas. In the tranquil late afternoon, a short 20-minute car ride will lead us to the base of Marapi volcano, marking the beginning of an exhilarating ascent. With every step, anticipation builds as we prepare to conquer the summit. As darkness gives way to the first light, a breathtaking sunrise spectacle unfolds at the summit. From the top of Marapi, we'll witness Sunrise over West Sumatra with a view of lakes, rice fields and the Indian Ocean 100kms in the distance, casting an enchanting spell that lingers in our memories.

Lake Maninjau
Day 5-6
After descending the volcano, we head to Lake manijau. Nestled within the heart of West Sumatra is the exquisite Lake Maninjau. Encircled by the rugged embrace of a volcanic crater, this ancient body of water offers respite from the bustling currents of modern life. Stay in simple traditional cottages right on the shore of the lake and explore the unique wonder of Museum Buya Hamka and Aia Tigo Raso, a natural spring that tantalizes the senses with a triad of flavors - salty, sweet, and bitter, Local lore speaks of its potential to heal, infusing the surroundings with an aura of enchantment. The next morning we will visit a village where traditional brown sugar has been made in the same way for hundreds of years and visit landscaped gardens and hobbit houses. Engage in activities such as canoeing, fishing, and relax beside the lapping lake inside a volcanic cauldron, in a place where time slows.
